Floral Notebook Cover for a 3-Ring Binder

3:30 AM 2 Comments
I made this to slip into the plastic sleeve of a small 3 ring binder.  I'm using the book in an assisted living facility so that visitors can make a note of their visits.

I created several layers to give this lots of visual appeal.  Starting at the back I used the largest die to from Coved Rectangle Stitch And Cut Tool - LG Silver Stitch Tool 6 Piece Die Set.

Next I layered in a cut-apart from the Graphic 45 Secret Garden collection.   The pretty flowers were  diecut with the Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Set - B777.  I added leaves with  Flourish #7 Die - CAFLRS7.

On the bottom left corner I used Nesting Doll- Circles #1 3 Piece Die Set to diecut a circular doily to place behind my sentiment card.  I also used the Ivy Corner Flourish Die to accent the corner flowers.

Choose to Shine Card with Cheryl Walker

12:30 AM 3 Comments
Hello everyone, and Happy Monday to all! Today's card was designed for Cheery Lynn Designs using the NEW Bohemian collection. This card was sent  off to Cheery Lynn so they can use it for CHA this year! Super exciting!!!!! Woohooo, it's been a LONG time since my work has been featured at CHA, and I am one proud crafty gal!  hehehehehe :)

Anyway, for my card today I used Cheery Lynns NEW dies, from the Bohemian collection, and Club Scraps January "Color Me Happy " kit. Love how these both work perfect together.
The layers of my card are done with one sheet of the Color Me Happy Design paper. I layered with 3 layers and added sewing to all layers. Next I cut out the Botanical Stems, and tea roses in the same design paper, so they would all coordinate together.

Tea Roses have the Glass Technique on them, and that tutorial can be found here. The darker blue ones do not have the glass technique, but still look gorgeous. I love the dark blue text weigh card stock I used, you can see it under the light blue flower.

My Hippie Heroine was cut out 2 times, first she was colored with Copics, then I cut her again in a shimmer card stock from my stash, for her hair.

Sweatheart Valentine with Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Laurie here with a "sweet" Valentine to share today.

Valentine's Day is just a few weeks away, time to get those cards made! Cheery Lynn has such fun dies to use too... one of my fave being the Sweetheart Candy dies.

My mom always bought me a box of Sweethearts, and I always bought them for my kids too. It was  so fun to read the cute messages on each one. Sometimes we would add them in our Valentines at school too. You had to make sure you had just the PERFECT one for your special Valentine!!!!

On this card I added 3 sweethearts up at the top!

The word LOVE ( from the NEW release) is cut out 3 times in black and adhered together to add some dimension. The red heart inside has some glimmer mist sprayed on it for a bit of bling.

On the bottom I added a flower I made with the NEW Indie Bouquet and the Floral Bouquet sets. An enamel dot is in the center. Everything is backed on some stitched rectangles, and fun patterned paper.

A Boho Hello!

12:00 AM 3 Comments
Hi Cheery Lynn peeps.  Have you had time to play with any of the new releases?  They have been so much fun for me!  I went very CAS on this card.  Not my usual design style, but you got to try something different once and awhile right?

I used the Quatrefoil A2 frame die as my background.  I stayed very neutral with all my colors and used the dies to add texture and interest.

I used the new Mandala Doily 2 Die set and layered it with the Feather 3 Die Set.
I love the feather die set....I can't wait to use them on a Thanksgiving Fall card!
Other than that I just added some simple ribbon and tied it to the side.  I added a simple greeting of Hello from the Bohemian word 5 die set.  Love the font on it.
Maybe I will try a few more CAS cards...I know these dies make it easy to do!
Well that is it for me!  Thanks for visiting the Cheery Lynn blog today! Cherry

Happy New Year by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi friends!  Today I'm sharing more dies from Cheery Lynn's latest release.  I've been having so much fun designing with all the new dies.  On this card I used the new Yin Yang to create a Chinese New Year card.

To create the different colors I first die cut two Yin Yangs.  I cut one die cut in half and used the smooth half as a mask.  I laid it down over the white side before covering the patterned side of the Yin Yang with distress inks.  The Yin Yang was layered on top of the Florence Filigree Doily.  The Happy New Year and 2017 are both from the New Year Shaker set.  I cut the numbers out of the shaker rectangle.  They were the perfect size and I really like the classic font.

To add a little more interest, the filigree doily is popped up with foam tape and I used a Wink of Stella pen to add sparkle to the colored half of the Yin Yang.  I also glued clear rhinestones to the Yin Yang to finish it off.

I love making Valentines Day card but also make Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, and birthday cards.
I don't know if I have a style, I like cards that have unusual shapes, involve movement or intricate die cuts.
Love several of the new dies but think my favorite would be the botanicals.

Hi there.  Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft to share another card made with one of the NEW Release Bohemian Collection dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
This is one of those dies that is just so beautiful and detailed that it demands center stage, and I didn't want to clutter it up with anything else.  Isn't the detail on the face and hair just amazing?!!
I used a shimmery metallic cardstock for a bit of a glow and I mixed gold, antique gold and silver for some added depth.  I inked her face with some distress ink as well.

I adhered the die and some stars on to a 5-1/2" card base with some layers and mulberry paper and a few pieces of dove-tailed gold glitz ribbon mixed in the layers.

Dream Big Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 10 Comments
Good morning lovelies.
Do you also love all the new releases as much as I do?? For my card today I used the pretty "Dreamweaver"die which is amazing on it's own. I wanted to make my card a little Spring like because I miss the warmer weather.  It's so cold here in The Netherlands brrr. For my card I used some Maja Design papers and some mixed media products.

Dream Big:
The feathers on the Dreamweaver die I cut out times two so it looks like it moves a little. In the centers of the flowers I added some cream colored prills after I stuck two layers of the flowers together. I also added some flat back pearls on the Dreamweaver.

I also cut out the Dreamweaver two times and cut out the middle and layered them on top of each other to give it more depth and then I used foam tape to lift it a little.

Hi Cheery Lynn Fans thanks for stopping by, it's JULIE here today and I am sharing some more inspiration from our fabulous new Bohemian Collection.

Today my card is clean and simple and a great design if you have an unexpected card needed in a hurry. I started by cutting out the intricate Paisley Frame and edged the frame with some Gold Embossing Powder and mounted onto a white background to make the design 'pop'.

I added my drop shadowed sentiment and heart which also has Gold Embossing powder on it and a touch of bling.

My flower was also drop shadowed with White Cardstock and shaped on my Embossing mat.

Thanks so much for all the lovely comments you left on my blog and Cheery Lynn on blog hop day, it was so nice reading them all.

Happy Crafting,
Julie x

Hello with Lisa Blastick

Hope to see you at the CHA if you're in town!
Sharing a new card made using the Bohemian Release!
Its so fun and the colors here are perfect for this collection!

I used a basic white card then layered it with yellow, red and teal. I stamped the corners with black ink and doodled in the black dots.
The hearts and the sentiment are part of the "bohemian word set" and the 'bohemian sun" was cut in yellow and I used a darker Copic yellow for the inside.

Pretty fast and easy to make!

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Love step cards and the new Bohemian collection!

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Maggi here today to share one of my favorite card designs,  a step card, and Cheery Lynn Designs makes it easy for you with their step card die, Step Card Bundle Set #4.  Then add in some diecuts from the new Bohemian collection and you're sure to have a winning card!

I've used dies from the new Bohemian collection to enhance this card.

I used the Mandala Doily 2 backed with a  diecut from the Nesting Doll- Circles #1 3 Piece Die Set. I really like how the Nesting Doll diecut provides a backing for the Mandala Doily diecut.

On the right face I've used Bohemian Collection - Indie Border, althugh it is hard to see because of the printed paper.  The flowers were made with the Bohemian Collection - Indie Bouquet - 6 Die Set.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Lollipop Pencil /Card with Cheryl Walker

For the January New Release Blog Hop, please click HERE.

Hello everyone, and Happy Friday to all!
Today I have a super fun Lollipop card I made using the beautiful New Bohemian Collection / and Past Releases of Cheery Lynn Dies, and I have to say I absolutely LOVE the way this turned out, with all the dies I used. I will be making more of these :) hehehehe
The Lollipop part of this was made up using Cheery Lynn's Sophia's heart die.  I cut it out in Bazzill shimmer card stock. Next I cut the Priscilla Doily die out in Club Scraps card stock ( I added Viva Pearl pen dots in silver along the edges), then the next one cut is the Cheery Lynn DL272 Horizon Circle Boutique Stacker frame, and cut in the same shimmer card stock.  I then hot glued some lace to the back of that. Next I cut the Mehndi Botanical 3 out and cut it into pieces to frame the circle pierced die that was cut in shades of winter as well. The tag with The Project Bins stamped sentiment is called Cheery Lynns CABD-108 Tags #3.  It was cut in the same coordinating design paper.

Flowers were cut out using the NEW Mehndi Botanical 3 flower and I cut it in another design paper in the Shades of winter collection. Love the look of them. I also placed a matching flower embellishment from Really Reasonable Ribbon in the center. LOVE how they look! I backed the flowers with the Mehndi Botanical Stems.

Bows- Made using Really Reasonable Ribbons Delicate Stitched Satin, and lace.

Stick- a pencil painted in white with ribbon wrapped around.

Fishing in Minnesota with Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 6 Comments

Hi Laurie here with a Minnesota card to share today!

My friends and I have really been into making Cheery Lynn state cards lately. They are SO fun to make and to give. People love to receive them, and the possibilities for each state are endless. From state sports...like MN Vikings and Twins, to favorite vacation spots like Disney World in Florida....we have made a ton of them! It's so fun to add footballs, or Mickey Mouse ears, the state flowers and colors....you can see how it goes on and on! There are lots of ideas for whatever state you live in....you can find yours here.

I was born and raised in a small town in Minnesota, land of 10,000 lakes. There are lakes everywhere, and of course fishing is a HUGE deal in our area. Locals and tourists are always out on the lakes fishing...right now..... on the ice..... in fish houses! Brrrrrr! It IS lots of fun though.

For this card, I used a bunch of CL fishing dies. I started out with some fish patterned paper cut out with the rectangle stitch and cut tool, and added the canoe and  fishing pole.

Then I adhered the state, and added the sentiment with some cute bobbers and oars:

I also tucked in a few pine branches....we have a ton of those around here too!

As you can probably tell by this post, I REALLY like making state cards...especially from Minnesota!

Thanks for stopping by...have a great day!

Birthday Wishes Card

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello Cheery Lynn Peeps!  Got another card for you today using several fantastic dies.  I created a fun birthday card.....perfect for a New Year birthday.  I used Birthday Wishes circle die for my sentiment and layered it on top of both the Birthday Cake shaker die set and the clock (steampunk)series set,
I added ribbons and mini gold sequins that I randomly placed here and there inside the cake die.
I just love all that dimension you get when you add foam adhesive and layer several of your dies up.
For a bit more interest I used the Quatrofoil A2 frame 2 die as my background paper.
