A CHEERFUL CARD WITH ANITA KEJRIWAL

3:30 AM 6 Comments
Hello friends,
I ,m back again with my weekly Wednesday project. And this week I have a totally different project for you....something that is not my style but I am so much in awe of these cards that I could not save myself from making one. This project does not have handmade flowers. Here the focus is mainly on the clever use of die cuts. Here I have manipulated the die cuts to give a different look to this card. And the base is the favourite stacker dies one top of other to give a 3d look. I have cut the Fiona's magic mirror to place it on the top and bottom. The two flourishes are place on either side and I have again cut the doily into two and used as a mat for the stamped image.

Supplies

XM SCALLOPED COVED RECTANGLE XM-11
FIONA'S MAGIC MIRROR FRM  140
VICTORIAN ROMANCE FLOURISH DL 151
LILITH  DOILY WITH A/ WING DL 263
INVERTED SCALLOPED OVAL XM 9
Stamp is from penny black
Distress inks

This week we have a summer theme challenge at the cheery Lynn blog. Do stop by over there for a moment.
I hope you liked my work. Will see you again next week. Till then ......goodbye!!

A Holiday Card with Rhonda

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Greetings and happy Monday, it's Rhonda here today to host the blog for you.

I created a holiday card featuring the Rustic Birdhouse die for my post today. The background includes the Card Maker Scalloped Rectangle, then the Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique Stacker.

I placed the Horizon Oval Boutique Stacker in a horizontal position, then took the doily that was cut from the center of our Dutch Scallop Square. This was cut in half and glued behind.  This layer was adhered with foam squares for dimension.

A bit of cheese cloth was adhered behind the Rustic Birdhouse, then Branches were added on the left in different colors and under my bird. I tied a bit of string and made a bow to finish it. A small part of a Francesca border was cut and adhered below the house. Two of the Steampunk Corners were added to anchor the base.

A Royal Christmas by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 5 Comments

Hello everyone and a warm welcome to our new followers. It's Julie here hosting the blog today. I have made another Christmas card to showcase the beautiful Snowflake Doily die from our new release. This die blends itself to Christmas and any other occasion depending on what shade of paper you choose. I decided to give it a regal theme so stuck mainly to reds and golds in my card.

I cut my doily out in gold card and offset the angel wing behind in red card stock and added some diamantés around the circumference and mounted my poinsettia flower on the top with a dazzle in the centre.

You will see I cut out my Lattice Valance die in red card and I love the way it frames my card. I also paper pieced in some gold card behind my die cut which helps to make it pop.

I extended my Horizon stacker die, paper piecing behind my doily, you will also notice I used part of the Lattice Valance die across the centre band, adding a Greetings message and stickles around my card to finish.

Well I hope you have enjoyed looking at my card and Good luck to everyone entering our weekly challenge and remember you could win $20 to spend here at Cheery Lynn. Next Saturday I will show you all how to make your Snowflake Doily into a square frame.

For the Brave

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here sharing with you another of the sets in the new release--the Military Dog Tags.  These are fantastic! They come with the ball chain and tags--which when cut with Silver Mirror Card stock look REAL. They have several words with them as well including Hero and USA shown here. I think they are perfect not only for patriotic holidays but also Operation Write Home Any Hero Cards to show how much you appreciate the service men and women protecting our freedoms.

Monochromatic Merry Christmas with Rhonda

3:30 AM 3 Comments
Happy Monday crafty friends, it's Rhonda here today to host the blog for you.

Our new releases are so pretty and had me in the Christmas spirit a bit, so I made a monochromatic holiday card to share with you for today.

The background features a Horizon Square Boutique Stacker layered with a Horizon Rectangle Boutique Stacker that I threaded some string through and tied a simple bow.

I used a variety of white papers for my project in different finishes and textures for interest. My Snowflake Doily is backed with an Angel Wing cut, then attached with foam squares. The snowflake from the Merry Christmas with Tree Sentiment is cut twice and the 2nd layer is attached at an angle and with a foam square.

Merry Christmas my Deer by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 7 Comments

It's Julie here today hosting the blog. Lovely to have you popping over to see my post today.  I thought I would share over the next few weeks some cards I have made using some of the new dies from the July 2014 release, to give you some ideas for planning, dare I say it.....your Christmas cards.

My icicles were cut out in glitter card and I offset them slightly and layered them twice to give depth to my card.
My frosty trees are the base die from the build a christmas tree die. This die I love as can be used as a decorated tree or bare tree layered up or on its own, also as foliage with your flowers and the decorations as accents on other things. I cut my die out in various shades of card stock and sprayed with an adhesive and dipped into a fine glitter. I glued down the spine of the tree so it would lie flat to the paper and my branches were lifted up to add more dimension.

My window was cut out using the oval die and stamping snowflakes onto the frame. My winter scene was made using inks and embossing powders. To the side of the window you will see my Mistletoe, this was die cut out and glitter applied in the same way as the trees and I also place some liquid pearls onto it to represent the little white berries.

My deer I cut out in brown and white card which I'd applied glitter to and I then layered them together slightly offsetting to give a shadow effect. Finally, adorning my card with snowflakes and more glitter to finish.

Good luck to everyone entering our weekly challenge and I'll see you all next Saturday.

Happiness is a Way of Travel Card!

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Have you seen the New Release Dies yet? Well if not, it is a must, there is a great variety to choose from. I love the New Pair of Tickets die from the Release.

The words are an overlay so you can mix and match or leave off if you choose!

It does not matter what theme of card I create, it is not complete without a Cheery Lynn Flower! It is lacking the finishing touch until that flower gets adhered!
