Cheery Lynn March Blog Hop Featuring the New IOE Plates and FRAME-IT Embossing Folder

Hello everyone and welcome to our March Blog Hop at Cheery Lynn Designs!

Today you will see some great projects featuring the NEW IOE (Inside Out Embossing) folders and plates now available at Cheery Lynn Designs. There is currently one Frame It Embossing Folder and one Oval Embossing Plate Set available, but more will be added soon.  Our fabulous design team created some wonderful projects to show you what can be done with this great new product.  They always come up with such great ideas and we wanted to share them with you today.

The Frame IT Embossing Folder has several design elements on it that can all be used at once, or specific design elements can be isolated so that those are the only ones that would emboss. This is accomplished by using the appropriate size oval plate or plates when running it through with the paper on your die cut and emboss machines.

The embossing plates can also be used with any embossing folder to isolate and emboss certain areas as you will see on the video below.

  8. This product is so neat, and the cards the designers made are wonderful! I'm a new card maker so have a huge want list full of Cheery Lynn products. I would love to see Circles the most I think, although diamonds sound neat, I could see using those with some of my all over folders to make openings. Thank You!

  10. To answer you questions - I would love any shapes you can come up with.
    Everything you make is beautiful.
    I usually create A-2 cards, 5 1/2 x 4 1/4.

  16. Brilliant product- so much easier and more versatile than the other diffusers I have. I would love to see rectangles, squares and circles. I normally make A2 size cards. I just ordered my first set and hope to see more!

  17. The double embossing possibilities are wonderful. I can't wait to try this product! I'd love to see more shabby chic and industrial embossing folders for a more grunge look. I'd like the IOE plates to come in all the typical shapes, e.g. circles, squares, rectangles.. I mostly create A2 size cards, but I'm a scrapbooker too, so I would used these plates for a variety of projects!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Just ordered these and can't wait to try them out. I would love to see rectangles to use on A2 cards. Lol, just enabled my girlfriend.

  20. Great invention! I have used other "mattes" for this form of embossing and ones that I've made myself which is cumbersome, for embossing folders, but it is wonderful to see a variety of embossing elements all within one folder.
    Answers to question:
    1. squares, rectangles, diamond, circle shapes all with added dotted edges maybe?
    2. yes
    3. 5 x 7 and 6 x 6 and sometimes even 8 x 8
    thanks

  21. I watched the video and was impressed with the variety of things you can do so I ordered the diffusers and frame embossing folder. I also tried to used double embossing and got so frustrated I gave up. You gave me the inspiration to try again with your product. Thanks.

  22. 1 and 2 Would like to see all types of embossing folders listed. Variety is the spice of life!!
3 Typically do 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 cards HOWEVER will occasionally do 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 so some 5x7 folders would be nice and always on the lookout for 12" long folders for scrapbooking. Hard to find those.

    LOVE these new folders. Thanks!!!

  23. Having purchased the embossing folders earlier I so enjoyed this hop and seeing what the designers did with them. I know I am enjoying mine. I would like to see circles and rectangle designed embossing plates but any you make will be awesome I am sure. And the patterns no matter what will be enjoyed and useful. Flowers and ones for holidays really are a must I think. And, I hope you make some in A2 card size as that is what I make most often. However I did adapt my current plates to work with A2 size. I have a card ministry and this is a more frugal way for me to get more from each 81/2 by 11 size sheet.

  24. Firstly let me say how impressed I am with the IOE plates and Embossing folder, such a great concept. It is definitely a product I am going to have to have. It will be the Ovals first and then I think it will be rectangles. I think I would like to see Diamonds and Octagons if possible. I typically like 8X8 Cards. Thank you to all the Design Team for a Wonderful blog hop, very inspiring and Thank you Cheery Lynn Designs for organising it.

  25. I normally make cards that are 8.50 x 5.50. This new product is FANTASTIC! I definitely would love to own it. My limited budget says NO CAN DO at this time however. I would like to see all the basic shapes and perhaps some seasonable additions like Christmas, Valentines Day,birthday......................and I would want them all! LOL

    ReplyDelete
  26. This is super awesome. Love the double embossing choices. I would like to see more patterns. And also other shapes like squares and circles etc. I make A2 and 6x6 cards. Great product!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I would love to see more embossing folders with small tight patterns for embossing die cuts. Many of the folders have big beautiful patterns but if you want to add texture to a flower or something you can't get an overall pattern, just a partial. I think diamonds and fancy shapes would be very nice and I usually make the 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 size cards that is why smaller patterns would be nice. Thanks fpor entering me in the contest. blessings...............Donna

  28. I have created some of my own IOE plate from chipboard and love the effect. this is going to be so much fun to use. You can create a very fancy card without all the bulk. The design team has created fabulous examples on ways to use this new product.
    Questions
1-2 You mentioned there would be squares, rectangles, and circles in the future on the video. Maybe something that has one of those shapes but some curved lines instead of straight edges.
    3. I usually do A2 and 5x7. lately though so many new dies especially cover plates are larger so I have been making 41/2 by 5 3/4 so I can have a frame around the cover plate die cut.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I would like to see rectangles. The other shape I love is ovals but you already have done that.
I like embossing folders that can be used for (1)any occasion and
    2)holidays.
    I typically make A2 (4 1/4 x 5 1/2") cards. At times I'll make an A7
    (5 x 7)card.
The IOE EF & Embossing Plates are such a clever idea and great for a person like me that has limited space for tools and supplies.

2: all of them would be great circles and squares are the main ones

    ReplyDelete
  33. Id like to see rectangles and squares too. My cards are almost always A2 size.

  34. Great Product and wonderful Hop, I love all the cards the girls made, I think my personal Favorite was Bonnie's with the yellow and black and the bow and the way she did the fuzzy background. I love the new plates going to order them as soon as I get done here!!!
I would like to see squares or rectangles, as I don't use circles too often, and I usually make a 5 x 7 card or smaller, some times squares or some times 4 or 5 by 6.
    Thanks to all!!!

  47. What a fabulous idea! I can think of all kinds of things I could do with this. As for designs in future, it might be fun to have some in other, less formal/ornate styles. Maybe art deco or simple geographic designs? I'd definitely love to have circle, square and rectangular sets. I usually make A2 cards, but sometimes I do 5"x7" or 6"x6" cards.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I also would love the squares and circles. I like the 5x7 cards.

    10,5x15 cm
    10,5x21 cm

  50. The size of a card is not important to me, it is what I can put on a card front that is well balance and has eye appeal.

IOE is AWESOME! I like the ease of use that the video shows and the variations of ways that can be used, far superior to what I now have.

Thank You for sharing this new product,
