Felt and spices with Irina Gerschuk

3:32 AM 3 Comments
Hi my dear friends!
It's Irina Gerschuk with you today.
And I'd like to share with you my new Cristmas card.
I created my background with felt and Snowflake Mesh Border. I used Metal Adaptor Plate - it makes die-cutting from fabric and felt so easily!
After the background was ready I created a New Year Tree branch with the Small Heart Lollipop Fringe Cutie.
In case you've missed my last post, here is a video-tutorial on how to create this branch. It's really easy and adds such a cute zest to the project:
Products used:
Small Heart Lollipop Fringe Cutie - B391;
Snowflake Mesh Border - B372;
Metal Adaptor Plate - S114.

And please come and join our new challenge - the theme is so interesting and the prize is lovely)))

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a nice day!

Layered Oval Card by Susan Longman

3:30 AM 3 Comments
Hi, Susan Longman here again today. I have a pretty little birthday card to share with you using different oval shapes and some of the gorgeous roses.
Susan Longman38_1
On the base of a plain white card I have used a few random numbers from a chipboard pack and spritzed it with some glimmermist. Then for this card I have layered the ovals horizontal and vertical to create some interest. I have used a combination of the Horizon Oval Boutique Stacker Frames – DL252 and the Oval - XM-7 to do this. I have topped the Ovals with some of the Medium Rose – B154 and Large Rose – B155 on a base of the Rose Leaf Strip – B241 and added some Small Exotic Butterflies #1 w/Angel Wings - DL112AB . All die-cuts have had a light inking with a pink ink.

Holiday Greetings

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here to share with you a frilly Holiday card using the new Horizon Circle Boutique Stacker Frames - DL272 and the Merry Christmas Holly Sentiment - B366! Making a shaped card is super easy with the stackers --simply diecut a folded piece of card stock overlapping the folded edge just a bit.

For this card I layered the Horizon Circle Boutique cut over my circle card base with foam tape. I colored the Merry Christmas Sentiment with Spectrum Noir Markers and Wink of Stella. With a glue pen I adhered the delicate sentiment to the front of my card. Next I added my pearl misted roses and snowflakes to the front. As a final embellishment I blinged up the front with crystal adding a touch of glue to insure their staying power.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoy my festive card!

Merry Christmas Inspiration with Rhonda

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Happy Monday Cheery Lynn Designs friends!  It's Rhonda here to host the blog for you today.

My card for today combined a few new dies as a feature from our October release for you.  I used the very pretty Merry Christmas Holly Sentiment  and some vines from the together to create the design here.

I cut the Merry Christmas sentiment first from some dark green papers, then once again from another pattern paper with mixed coloring.  I trimmed around the oval, then used it as a frame on top.  A little touch of inks gold gives a bit of shimmer.

I wanted to add a bit more to the design, so I cut one of the Lattice Hearts and Vines as below:

I trimmed small pieces and glued them from behind:

A layer of tulle and cheesecloth is on top of the paper, so I stitched my frame down in a few places. The sentiment was adhered with a touch of Glossy Accents from the back.

A few golden bells and holly leaves from our Mega Holly Flourish were the finishing touch, along with some little bits of red bling.  Can you believe we are only about two months away from Christmas!?

As for the flower centres I used some stamens white and light pink.
I have to tell you I'm in love with my Script die, it makes such pretty letters.

Hearts & Gears

3:30 AM 5 Comments

Hi and Good Morning everyone, Alison here today sharing this weeks card inspired by Cheery Lynn Designs stunning Steampunk Dies!

This card is a glorious 8 x 8 inches, so a brilliant size to showcase the intricacy an detail of these dies, instead of much of them being concealed by a main image as a focal point.

Now, I had such fun making this card!  It was great to dig out some much neglected silver mirri board to create a dazzling metallic effect to this design.   I layered HOTP paper and bazzil card, applying DI inks to the edges.

I created the breathtaking Gear Mesh border by matting silver card onto grey card and adding additional gears, silver stud pearls and brads.  I cut the beautiful new Daphne Doily in grey card, and used silver card to cut the Hearts n Gears to create a background for my image.  I  then matted the Kenny K digital stamp onto Silver Square Stackers and Scalloped Square stackers and added the pretty Lock and Keys and Love sentiment for a finishing touch.

All dies used on this card are:

B361 - Gear Mesh Border
B378 - Hearts n Gears
B340 - Gears
B350 - Lock and keys
DL264 - Daphne Doily
B227 - Love sentiment
L-1 - Square Classic
XL-2 - Square Scalloped Stackers

Thanks so much for visiting our blog today, and I hope you find time to join in this weeks challenge where our theme is vintage.

Have a smashing week!

Wishing you a Highly Entertaining Vintage Halloween

2:30 AM 3 Comments

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here to share with you a Halloween card made with a vintage Halloween image and some of the beautiful new release dies! I die cute flowers from a mix of solid aged papers and vintage script paper to accent this cute digital vintage image. I further aged the lace and doily die cuts and the flowers with distressed ink and layered them with foam tape to create a fun card front! Colored lacquer is used to create the flower centers and a sprinkling of little bats complete the card--I ADORE these little bats!

Owl Be Your Friend with Rhonda

3:30 AM 7 Comments
Happy Monday Cheery Lynn Designs friends! Rhonda here today to host the blog.

My card today features some of our new release dies that I just fell in love with, the Birch Tree with Cute Critters and the Owls with Gears.  It's always fun to create cards with both masculine and feminine appeal and these dies are perfect for the task!

I added a touch of Flower Soft to the stomach of the small owl on the right for texture.  My clouds are cut from a glassine bag, then after attaching with a touch of glossy accents, I added some Picket Fence distress stickles on the two right, a touch of Rock Candy on the left cloud.

I cut some pieces of two different French Flair Silver Stackers to create my kraft "hills" for the background.  I strategically started with my tree to cover the point, then trimmed it.

I've inked my edges lightly and used a q-tip to highlight some of the notches in the sweet little birch tree for fun.

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:
Birch Tree with Cute Critters - B370
Owls with Gears (Set of 2 - Steampunk Series) - B383
Sentiment Frame #1 - B189
Clouds and Rain - B320
French Flair Silver - L12

We would love to have you join us this week for the new Vintage challenge here at Cheery Lynn Designs!  There's a $20 gift certificate up for grabs to a lucky player!!!

Thank you so much for stopping on over today!

Christmas Snow

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi and Good Morning everyone! :) Wow what a fabulous week of inspiration we have had so far showcasing all the gorgeous new Cheery Lynn Designs new releases for October!

My card today shows off the intricacy and elegance of just a few of the new designs, but what a big impact they have!

I started off with a 6 x 6 inch blank card base, and layered DCWV red bazzil cardstock and Bo Bunny paper.  I then used the gorgeous new snowflake mesh border die, cut it in bright white and matted onto sanded red card.  I edged this with the new Siena double edged border and added a few tiny flowers and pearls to the centres of the snowflakes.

The main Merry Christmas sentiment is backed onto red sanded card too, and also matted on the the stunning Lilith Doily.  Again I backed this with red card cut from the matching angel wing.

For a finishing touch, I made a poinsetta flower, and secured with a glitter brad, and added a few more tiny flowers, pearls and ice glitter.

All dies used on this card are:

B366 - Merry Christmas Holly Sentiment
DL263 - Lilith Doily with Angel Wing
B372 - Snowflake mesh border
B373 - Siena double edged border
B324 - Poinsetta flower strip
B376 - Tiny flowers

Thanks so much for visiting our blog today, and I cant wait to see what fabulous entries with have in this weeks challenge where our theme is 'Black and Orange'.

Have a smashing week!

Light Vintage with Irina Gerschuk + video tutorial

3:30 AM 6 Comments
Hi my dear friends!
It's Irina Gerschuk with you today.
And I'm super excited to share with you my new project. It's an all-occasion card in a light vintage style.
I used lots of Cheery Lynn Designs dies to create it, some of them - from the new release (and I just love them!!!)
As I do almost everytime I started to create the card from the flower composition. I love to play with flowers - choose colors and pick up flourishes for them))
Then I added some doilies and a border (as for me this border is a "must have" for any scrapper - such a cute detail and so mady ways to use it!!!)
To achieve the perfect shape of the clock I used the smallest die from  thLace Circle set.

I also prepared a small video-tutorial on how to create such flowers as in this card

Dies used to create the card:
- B387 Tiny Fanciful Flourish
- DL265 Candy Hearts Doily
- Medium Rose - B154
- Tiffany Border - B137
- B155 Large Rose
- B178 Flourish Leaf Stripe
- Olive Branches - B147
- Horizon Rectangle Boutique Stacker Frames - DL270
- French Pastry Doily - DL102
- Lace Circle - DL188

And don't miss our new challenge - the theme is so versatile, and the price is yummy)))))

Thank you for stopping by!
Have a lovely day!

Lilith Doily Card by Susan Longman

3:30 AM 3 Comments
Hi, Susan Longman here with a bright, sunny birthday card sample for you. To create the card I have used a white cardstock base and “splattered” it with Studio Calico Sunshine Spritzer. I have then layered up a couple of pennant shapes under the (NOV13 NEW RELEASE) Lilith Doily w/ Angel Wing – DL263. Topped that with the smallest oval from the Horizon Oval Boutique Stacker Frames – DL252 which I have stamped Happy Birthday onto with a coordinating ink. I added some matching ribbon and a little Darling Daisies – A196 and finished it with the (NOV13 NEW RELEASE) Tiny Fanciful Flourish Right & Left (Set of 2) – B387.
