A Fall All Purpose Card by Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments
I don't like hot weather so I'm always happy to see summer go. It's fall ya'll!  I'm celebrating with this all occasion fall themed easel card.  I love using die cut shapes for the easel portion of my card and on this card I used the French Flair Pierce And Cut Tool .
Inside that, I used a die from the Horizon French Flair Boutique Stacker Frames set.  It's great how the different Cheery Lynn dies fit together so nicely!
In the center of the card I used the Royal Scandinavian Doily die.  The stickers from Authentique's Harvest collection fit perfecly there.

I made a pretty flower with the Shasta Daisy  die and fall leaves with the Fall Leaves 8 Piece Die Set.

Inside, I used another leaf from the Fall Leaves 8 Piece Die Set, just to accent the sentiment that also acts as a hold for the easel.
Here's a side view of the card where you can see how the easel works.

Sweet Santa Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello crafty friends and Happy Friday to you all! Today I have a sweet card I made for Cheery Lynn Designs using the darling Santa and Elf set, along with a couple of other Cheery Lynn Dies. I love this sweet Santa, as I have tons of Santas that I decorate my home with for Christmas. So I'm a Santa Lover....hehehehehe.  He was fun to make. I did add some Flower Soft to his cap.

My card measures 6" x 6 1/4" that is the card base. I then layered with 3 layers of design paper all from a coordinating paper stack called peppermint by Crate Paper.  My sentiment is The Project Bin's Joyful Song stamp, and was stamped in Club Scrap moss green ink on Cheery Lynn's Oval (smallest one) Stitch and Cut tool LSC-7. Next I distressed it with a red ink. I used the DL314 Quadrafoil Square Doily and framed the third layer panel on my card, then cut it to size. Next I added my Santa.  He was put together using Cheery Lynn's Best Glue Ever that they carry. LOVE this stuff.

All dies were cut using the Big Sister Die Cut and Emboss machine from Cheery Lynn. I LOVE this machine as its so easy to use, and love how it cuts the dies with ease and you can adjust the presser. Perfect machine!!!

Lastly I added some sewing with my machine in red thread, and then a red bow using ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon along with a little embellishment for the center.

Holiday Fireplace Card Set with Laurie Schmidt

2:00 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, Laurie here from Stamping Up North!

My last Cheery Lynn post I shared Holiday Window cards (you can find those here) and today I'm sharing a Holiday Fireplace card set. Cheery Lynn's windows, fireplaces and doors are so fun to make cards with...and there are so many other dies that can be used to decorate them too. The fireplace actually comes with some cute stockings, candles and picture frames.

For my first card... Halloween.... I used a black fireplace and cut out a pumpkin from the Jack O' Lanterns and set him on the mantle with some Tiny Fanciful Flourishes on each side. Then I added some spooky webs behind the fire, and stamped my sentiment in black.

My second card is for Thanksgiving.
I dressed up the brown fireplace with some pillars on each side from the Wrought Iron Fence die. Then I decorated the mantle with the candles and a tiny bow from the  Merry Christmas Gift Envelope set.The pumpkin is from the Fall Pumpkin Patch and comes with the pretty tiny leaf scrolls. I added a sign that says," Blessings" from the Winter Holiday Word set, and tucked a piece of the Mandy Doily underneath the fireplace for a rug.

My third card is for Christmas, and this time I used a white fireplace and cut a piece off of a brown fireplace for the base. The stockings and candles come with the set, I also added a fun sign from the Merry Christmas Gift Envelope set. I tucked some Pine Branches on each side and a bit of holly on the top. The holly is from the Christmas Wreath set, which I use a TON! It's just the right size to decorate bells, trees, hats,etc...I love it!

Earth Laughs in Flowers Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Good morning lovely fans.
Today it's my turn again on this amazing blog and I would like to share a flower shaker card. Although my fellow DT ladies are all into the Fall/ Halloween/Christmas cards I will show you a different type of card as I am still in summer mood lol. Here in The Netherlands we are enjoying some nice late summer temperatures this week we are going to hit 20 degrees.  Oh that feels so good as do not love winter at all!

Earth Laughs in Flowers:
This card was made with Maja Design papers from the Vintage Summer Basics collection since I had some leftovers from the layout I made this week. I think it is really easy to use your scraps for cards as I tend to do most of the time.

The shaker is filled with some dress my craft sequins and some mica flakes {amazing stuff}
The centers of my card are made with some foam balls that I dipped into some prills. At the end I added some white spray and a word strip.

Cheery Lynn Designs dies used:
K111 - Flourishing Flower Shaker Set
FRM144 - Chicken Wire Frame
C184 - Judys Blooms
B129 - Cherry Blossom

Thank you so much for visiting the blog today!
I hope you enjoyed my post and I have inspired you to use your Cheery Lynn Designs dies. You could also visit my blog at Amy's Pretty Papers for more inspiration.
Have a wonderful day!

The Spell Room by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello Cheery Lynn fans, its JULIE here today and I'm sharing some more spooky fun in my Spell Room card.

I started by layering onto my paper my black Die Cut frame, this helps to draw the eye into the centre of the card. I die cut out my Old Books adding names onto them, layering onto my card and sitting my cheeky cat on top along with a scary ghoul.

My witches potions I also added names onto the bottles along with a cheeky spider. My witches hat I backed with some purple glitter card and adding colour to the buckle from a gold alcohol pen.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Crafting,
Julie x

Happy Turkey Day with Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi friends!  Jenny here today with another new tag.  I had fun playing with a number of sprays.  The colors muddied a little but I liked the subdued look.  The darker background made it really quick to just gently add a little edge color to leaves from the Fall Leaves Set without coloring the entire leaf.  Leaving the leaves white really shows off the beautiful design on the leaves.

I've been having so much fun making tags lately.  Sometimes when I feel my mojo slipping I find that switching to another type of project and it somehow re-energizes me.  The last thing I did was add  orange string and twine, both give it a little more texture.

I Need Coffee by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 0 Comments
A warm Hello to you. Nice to see you here. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out hosting the blog today. With October just around the corner I thought I would have a little Halloween fun.  So I designed this Halloween card.
I started with a piece of Halloween printed paper as my base and matted it in grey and black.
I love the coffee cup from the last release and I wanted to incorporate it into a Halloween card. I thought the sentiment " Hocus Pocus I need coffee to Focus" was perfect for the cup sleeve. And then there is the  bottle of sugar and scream for the coffee.
I placed the Dusty Miller Square  near the top of the card and added a button to the center of it.  I then layered the Witch Hat  and the coffee cup from the Brew Can Do It   set.  I layered flourishes from the  Fall Pumpkin Patch  set for the top corners and a bit tucked behind the hat.
Here I cut both Bottles and printed sugar on one and scream on the other one. Again I tucked in a couple more flourishes. The cat is one of three from the Friendly Felines  set.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing this card as much as I enjoyed making it to share with you. If you haven't seen the new Halloween dies that were just released then you should check them out. There are some nice ones.

Please leave a comment and have a wonderful crafty day my friends..

Halloween Door With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello crafters! Welcome back to another fun card using some new and old Cheery Lynn Designs Dies. The adorable "felines" are purrrrfect for Halloween! I wanted to use the screen door and then make an awning over the top. The awning was made by cutting 1/2 strips and curving the edges.

The cute ghost from "happy haunts" is a green goblin...lol  The sentiment from "Happy Halloween twiggy wreath" its the perfect size for the screen door.

The spider web (nest) also has an adorable spider too. I added some glittery ribbon and two sequins for the doorknob. The background on the bottom I embossed it with "old brick"

The bats are from "bat family". I used the 2nd and 3rd smallest bat and just dotted the eyes with a signo white pen. Then I bent them a bit and added glue to the center of the bats so they appeared to be flying off the awning.

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great day!
Hugs Lisa

All You Need is Love and a Dog!

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Maggi here today with my favorite subject, dogs! For me it's true, all you REALLY need is love and a dog.  In my case 2 dogs!  This is the cover for a mini album and I know the recipient is going to love it!  I used lots of Cheery Lynn Designs dies to give my cover a great look.  At the top and bottom I used the Lady Kate Edger die to give the entire page a framed look.

I used two different dies, Fiona's Magic Window and A2 Scalloped Frames, to make layers behind the title so that it would really stand out.  Of course I needed some flowers to dress it up so I used the
Black Eyed Susan and Floral Bouquet Kit to make my pretty red blooms.  I especially love the center of the larger flower that is part of the Black Eyed Susan die set.  it can be used with so many different flower dies too!

Isn't this little dog house the best?  It's part of the Pet Pack 11 Piece Die Set .  It has so much detail!

Christmas Window Card with Cheryl Walker

2:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello Crafty friends and Happy Wednesday to you all!
Today's card was designed for Cheery Lynn Designs using the New Sparkle Christmas Tree 6 piece set, Poinsettia Strip, and Window die.

On my card I started with the beautiful window die, and cut it out in white.  Then I distressed it with Distress Ink Vintage Photo. Next I cut the tree out in the coordinating design paper, and then used some spritz spray, but used the dabber tool to apply it to the edges instead of spraying it all over. I cut the little presents out in graphic45 coordinating design paper to go along with the theme on my card. The Poinsettia flowers were cut using a red design paper from the same stack, and then distressed with red ink, and I used the Glass Flower Technique that can be found on my blog under tutorials. I love Christmas time, and love decorating my house, so I'm looking forward to this :)

Holiday Window Card Set with Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, Laurie here from Stamping Up North!
I've really been into making cards with Cheery Lynn's door, fireplace and window lately. Such awesome dies and PERFECT for making cute holiday cards.

The ones I'm sharing today are the window cards, the first one is for Halloween. I cut out the window in black and added a spooky spider web behind it. On the window sill I set a ghost, pumpkin, and cat. The bats flying around are from the Happy Halloween dies. I cut out 2 green moons for the shutters with the Cat and Moon set too.

Jack O Lantern B594

The second card is a Thanksgiving window card.

I used the Mandy Doily to make a bit of a curtain, and added an enamel dot at the top. I thought Cinderella's Pumpkins looked cute sitting on the ledge, along with a few leaves from the new Acorns and Leaves die set.

I used a couple of dies from the new fall and winter release to make a Christmas window card...the Penguin Pals and the Classic Christmas Tree.
I can't even tell you how many cards I have made with that penguin set...they are adorable. The window is actually a shaker set, but here I backed it with a curtain I made from the center of the Mexican Tile pattern die. I added a Christmas Light Swag and stamped a sentiment in black.

As you can see, I have had lots of fun with the window die. I'll be sharing my fireplace and door cards soon.....

Thanks for stopping by!
