Hello Tag by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello!  I'm back today with a floral tag I made.  I've been experimenting using different colors for leave lately.  I hope you like the result.  I think the vertical stripes give the tag an elongated appearance.  I cut the flowers out of a glitter paper I made with a background stamp and embossing powder.  I used an orange polka dot paper to cut the flourishes.  The tag needed a little more interest and the polka dots complement the ones on the top of the tag.

The flowers were adhered with foam adhesive and blue rhinestones were glued to the centers.

Be My Valentine Card Set

12:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North with a Valentine card set to share today.

I decided it was time to use up some of that washi tape that I keep buying! I think it's so cute, and have a hard time resisting throwing it into my cart. Cheery Lynn has some awesome dies to use for Valentines, and combined with my washi tape I came up with some fun cards!

For my first card, I put some washi tape on the bottom of a stitched rectangle, and added a Be Mine Valentine Heart. I also added a bow which I attached with a tiny clothespin:

For my second card, I once again put the washi tape along the bottom of a stitched rectangle. This time I added the word love from the Bohemian Collection, along with a bow.

For the last card, I also added the washi at the bottom of the stitched rectangle. This time I added some washi behind the rectangle too.

I adhered the red heart from the Heart to Heart Doily set onto the tiny heart square from the Love Gift Envelope set. I LOVE all the tiny hearts..so cute!

Here's a list of the dies I used for my Valentine card set:

Hello by Jenny Alia

Hi friends!  Today I'm sharing a card I created after looking through my bin of leftover die cuts.  I've been doing some cleaning and I thought the best way to clean out is to use saved items.  The Wagon WheelChrysanthemum flowers and Dutch Daisy Border  were all previously cut and colored.  I cut the Ivy Strip out of patterned card stock.

The Hello is from the Bohemian Word Die Set .  I tend to use this set a lot, I just love the large hello and the font is both elegant and modern.  I cut the word twice to get the white shadow.  The center of the wagon wheel is a metal brad.  Last I added the butterfly because I thought the corner of the card looked a little too bare.

I hope you enjoyed my card and thank you for stopping by the blog today.  Make sure to check back on the 28th to join in the Cheery Lynn Blog hop to check out all the new Fall & Winter dies!

Hello by Jenny Alia

Hi, it's Jenny here today hosting the blog and I've created a card around this beautifully detailed 3D Peacock die cut.  My four year old and I had a lot of fun playing with my spritz bottles.  It's difficult to see but the entire peacock shimmers.  We made a number of marbled looking papers with my sprays and I cut the peacock after one dried.

The card base was covered with a black card front, layered with teal, then white and then I cut a blue mat out of the Pierced Stacker #3 die.  I added the hello from the Bohemian Word Set in black for some added contrast.  I just love the big sentiment and the script font.  I find I use it on both formal cards as well as more clean and simple designs.

Before gluing the peacock to the card front I added a green rhinestone for his eye and pushed out his feathers from behind with a stylus tool.  I wanted to show off all the beautiful dimension and detail this die has built into it.

Hi, it's Jenny here today with a clean and simple card I created using dies from the January Cheery Lynn release.  I just love these new Indie Bouquet flowers with the cut-out details.  I only used two of the dies but there are many more varieties included with the die.  These flowers can become lacy if layered and alternately look really bold backed with another color.

I left the flowers simple but embellished them with a glitter pen and rhinestone centers.  I also stacked the Hello die from the Bohemian Word Die Set.  I cut it three times in the same colors I used for the flowers.  Each time I added a layer I liked the effect more.  It also popped up the word almost as high as the Circle Stitch and cut tool which was adhered with foam tape for added interest and dimension.
