Retro Rocket Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday to you all! Today's card features the Retro Rocket die from Cheery Lynn Designs, and a few other fun dies as well.  I thought it would be cute cut out in some of the coordinating design papers I used on my card layers.

To start with, I used a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2" white card base. Next I took some blue scrap card stock pieces and used them for my layering with the design paper pieces. The design paper pieces are also scraps, and I believe they are from the Pebbles Americana Stack.  I layered the Cheery Lynn Pierced Banners using red card stock and the same design paper, and then did the Nesting Doll circle in blue, with a white circle die. I did distress the white circle using red ink and a dabber. The Rocket was cut in another design paper from the stack, and then I colored the pieces that went on it with Copic markers. The rocket was also distressed using red and blue inks on the edges. I did add some Stickles as well. Now the moon is done with a GLOW in the DARK glitter, fun huh!?

Lastly I added a double bow using the Really Reasonable Ribbon May Ribbon Club assortment, and one of their sweet embellishments.

All layers were popped using RRR foam squares. Also I added sewing in red thread.

Love Pumpkin Carriage Card with Cheryl

1:30 AM 2 Comments

Hello crafty friends, Cheryl here from SweeetDesignsbyCheryl with a sweet card I designed for Cheery Lynn Designs using their darling dies. My inspiration for this card came from this super sweet design paper I found in my stash.  It was another scrap piece and it inspired me to use this darling pumpkin and carriage die, and several other Cheery Lynn dies as well.

To start, I cut and layered all my pieces and added my sewing to each. Then I cut out the pumpkin carriage die using a pink design paper and colored in the areas that are darker, like the wheels, stem, and all the greenery. Next I added some flower embellishments to the centers of the wheels.  These are from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and I love how cute they look here. I did add some Stickles to the greenery and the stem.

Next I cut out my circle, nesting doll circle, and corners so I could do all my layering. I did add some glitter over the corners after my card was put together. The mice were colored with a grey Copic marker, and the little love tag I added another mouse to it, and stamped love with an SU! stamp. Lastly I made a double bow using ribbon and lace from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Happy Camper Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello crafty friends and Happy Thursday to all! Today's card was designed using the darling new camper die set from Cheery Lynn Designs. Love these sweet Retro dies, as they are so fun to work with and create different types of cards. My card is kinda shabby chic camping...hehehehe.  Just had to make it PINK.

I used the super darling camper die set from Cheery Lynn called "Happy Camper", along with the trees that come in the Camping Set!   Next I used the circle dies, and  the nesting doll circle #2 for the layer behind the trees. For the beautiful fancy frame I used the Alpine Flourish doily and it's cut in white. I used some Crafty Secrets design papers, they are old, I just pulled these out of a cabinet :) The Happy Camper sentiment is distressed with pink ink, and then added some Stickles. The blue for the windows is the clear acetate that comes in the shaker card kits. I just left the blue protective stuff on :)

Birthday Wished with Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Step cards are my favorite to make so today I am sharing a step card made with Cheery Lynn's Step Card Bundle Set #4.  This die set really makes step cards easy!  No measuring and cutting with a craft knife!
Here's a view of the card folded up.  I layered up two doiles and topped that with our Birthday Wishes Circle Die.

You know how much I love flowers and of course I had to add one to this card.  I used  Judy's Blooms Die to make this simple flower.  Just diecut 2 large blooms and one small bloom, give the petals a little shape with a stylus and stack and glue them up.  Top with a center and that's it!

Mandala Doily with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a card I made using some dies from the Cheery Lynn Bohemian Collection. There are so many fun dies...the elephant, the dream weaver, and lots of botanicals to name a few.

I decided to use the beautiful Mandala Doily and did some inlaying here and there.  I also set an enamel dot in the center:

I backed it on a circle nesting doll, and added the sentiment from the Bohemian Word set. I backed that on a stitched rectangle.

A tag for the girls by Maggi

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Today I have a tag for you that I think would be perfect to add to a bottle of wine and gift to a girlfriend that needs a little cheering up.  I love the sentiment that comes from Graphic 45's new Portrait of a Lady collection.

I've used some dies from the new release of Cheery Lynn Designs Bohemian Dies.  Down the center I've used  the Indie Border Die from the Bohemian collection.  I love how the design paper underneath peeks through the cut outs.

I added several layers in the center starting with Nesting Doll- Circles #2.  That makes a really great background for the  Mandala Doily 2  layer, also from the Bohemian collection.  The sentiment was diecut from design paper with a die from the Pierced Stacker 2 6 Piece Die Set.
Of course the tag has to be finished off with some flowers!  The large flower was made with the Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Set.  The other flowers are roses made with the medium and large rose die sets.  A seam binding bow at the top and a organza trim around the edges are the perfect finishing accents for this feminine tag.

Floral Notebook Cover for a 3-Ring Binder

3:30 AM 2 Comments
I made this to slip into the plastic sleeve of a small 3 ring binder.  I'm using the book in an assisted living facility so that visitors can make a note of their visits.

I created several layers to give this lots of visual appeal.  Starting at the back I used the largest die to from Coved Rectangle Stitch And Cut Tool - LG Silver Stitch Tool 6 Piece Die Set.

Next I layered in a cut-apart from the Graphic 45 Secret Garden collection.   The pretty flowers were  diecut with the Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Set - B777.  I added leaves with  Flourish #7 Die - CAFLRS7.

On the bottom left corner I used Nesting Doll- Circles #1 3 Piece Die Set to diecut a circular doily to place behind my sentiment card.  I also used the Ivy Corner Flourish Die to accent the corner flowers.

Love step cards and the new Bohemian collection!

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Maggi here today to share one of my favorite card designs,  a step card, and Cheery Lynn Designs makes it easy for you with their step card die, Step Card Bundle Set #4.  Then add in some diecuts from the new Bohemian collection and you're sure to have a winning card!

I've used dies from the new Bohemian collection to enhance this card.

I used the Mandala Doily 2 backed with a  diecut from the Nesting Doll- Circles #1 3 Piece Die Set. I really like how the Nesting Doll diecut provides a backing for the Mandala Doily diecut.

On the right face I've used Bohemian Collection - Indie Border, althugh it is hard to see because of the printed paper.  The flowers were made with the Bohemian Collection - Indie Bouquet - 6 Die Set.

Santa Tag Christmas Greeting Card by Ginny

3:00 AM 0 Comments
Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here to share a great little Christmas card I created with some of my fav Cheery Lynn Designs Dies.  I created the base for this card just slightly larger than a standard A2 size to allow a border around the Rectangle Stitch and cut layers.
Judy's Blooms flowers created with subtly patterned cardstock and finished with glitter edges and 3D snowballs. I've also tucked in some Holly Corners with coordinating Stickles on the edges.
I clipped one of the flowers in half and tucked in under the edge of the tag and over a Nesting Doll Circle and burlap ribbon.
Wood tones and plaid paper patterns are the perfect pairing for a homespun inspired Christmas greeting card with evergreen cardstock borders. I used the darker green in the center card with a Horizon Fishtail Banner to anchor the arrangement.

A little mixed media supplies to finish off the flowers and image finishes off the card with festive style.

Believe Sign Christmas Greeting Card by Ginny

3:00 AM 0 Comments

Hey there Peeps! Ginny here to share a lovely traditionally styled Christmas greeting card. This project started with an A2 sized card base in white with a patterned paper and solid red border added.

These festive elements were cut and given a special treatment with some red glitter embossing powder and Olive colored sparkle pen.  The Paris Sign holder was given a coat of clear gloss embossing powder and heat set for shine and additional depth.
To create a neutral background I added a Nesting Doll Circle to act as a doily effect and topped it off with a wreath.  The sentiment was stamped and inked to finish this card off and now it's ready to send to someone special for Christmas!

Red Poppy Card with Corina Finley

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello,

I am glad that you have joined me, Corina, for today's blog post.

I have created my card with no sentiment. I find that sometimes I want to create and don't always have a reason at that moment. Then at other times,  I need a card and the cards that I have on hand don't fit the occasion - my added sentiments limit the card use!
I have created a lot of layers using the Square StitchNesting Doll Circles, the Nesting Doll Circles Shapes and the Horizon Fishtail Banner. I added my Red Poppy flower created using Judy's Blooms and the center using the base of the Medium & miniature rose in black cardstock. Tucked in the Dandelions in a blue and various foliage in grey.
