Good Morning, Donna here to show you some fun and easy ways to use the Lace Edger Die available from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I'm afraid this post is rather photo intensive and Longggggg, so grab yourself a coffee or tea, sit back and I hope you enjoy seeing the many ways you can use this die in your papercrating.
**************************
Step 1. Tape your edger die to the back of the cardstock, so you get the lovely design on the front.
Step 2. Run it through the diecutting machine (you may need to use a Grand Calibur or Big Shot Pro for this) so you get a good clean die cut of the design
Step 3. You now have a card with a fancy design at the bottom that isn't a border die added to it.
Finished Card using the Lace Edger that gives a lovely edge to the front of your card, you can also do the inside to match.
Other dies used on this card is the Miniature Rose, Large Rose, Leaf, Olive branches, Pine Branches, Spiderweb, XL Circle Stacking Die, Lace Deco Corner F, Exotic Butterflies Small ,
Another way to use this Lace Edger die is to make a frame with it, as seen below
To make your frame, cut four of the edger dies out completely, then overlay them, corner to corner, you will need tape on the top and underneath to hold it together and then draw a straight line from the corner edge to the centre, and cut along that line. Do this four times and you will have a lovely frame like this to glue down onto your card.
Then decorate as you wish.
Here is my finished card....to complete my card as I didn't want to cover up the frame, I've only added a couple of the snowflake dies which I've sprinkled glamor dust onto, I've used Snowflake 5 and Snowflake 7. Snowflake dies can be used throughout the year on cards, as they make lovely embellishments to add partially behind an image or under a flower arrangement....they aren't just for winter. I also used the XL Scalloped Circles Nesting Die
Now for a third way to use the Edger die, use it as a border, by just cutting it out normally and placing it on your card as seen here.
Other dies used on this card is the Pine Branches, Olive Branches, Stacker Flower 3 and Stacker Flower 4, Judy's Bloom's, Miniature Rose, Fanciful Flourish, L Oval Stackers nesting die, L Oval Scalloped Stackers, Lace Corner Deco E
And finally.......one more way of using the Edger Die is to use it to make a lovely inside to a Book Card. (As this post is rather long already, I am eliminating the step by step tutorial on how to make the book card....if you want the step by step and measurements...please visit my blog later today)
here is the finished BOOK CARD
Other dies used on the Book Card include Exotic Butterflies Small, Lace Corner Deco F, Olive Branches, Pine Branches, Large Rose, Miniature Rose, Cherry Blossom, Sunflower, Mini Pearl Rectangle
Thanks for remaining with me till the end.........I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making all of these projects.
~hugs~
