Reflection dies fairy card - Kianel

Hello dear Cheery Lynn designs lovers,
Kianel here with you today. You know that i like to challenge myself so today my challenge was to use many layers, use reflection die to make a label/tag and to use color combo peach + sage green.
So on the card today, i played with my reflection dies to build the different layers and label and i thought i would show you how to make pretty cool newspaper rolls (?) with them too. (Click on the pictures to see them bigger).
So here is the card:

The base of the card is made using the Horizon coved rectangle mega doily (largest size) that i flipped in two to get a cool card shape. I inked a bit and then used the inside of the die to get the perfect size to cut my green patterned paper. That's it for the 1st layer.

Second layer is made using the Mini pearl circle mega doily cut in white cardstock. I didn't use the entire shape, just a little more that half of it. I then used a XL circle stackers to cut my peach patterned paper a bit smaller and sewed a piece of small lace around.

Third layer is made using 2 pieces of the Bunny and chick border that i put on each side of the blue patterned paper.

I then placed a peach ribbon in the middle a nd bowed it around a small tag i made using one of the smallest dies from the Mini pearl square mega doily die. You can give those any size you want so the possibilities are endless. (i showed you how with this tutorial if you are interested).

For the fourth layer, i cut a Mini pearl rectangle mega doily matching the size of my stamped image using the same technique as before.

So here you have your 4 layers using reflection dies. Now, for the decoration, i used the darling daisies that i slightly painted with Creative Inspirations paints and Flourish leaf strip which is one of my favourite dies, also painted.

Now, for the newspapers rolls, here is an easy way to do them using the smallest size of the Mini pearl rectangle mega doily that you can shorten in both directions.  Cut out several pieces of a book page with the reflection die and try to vary the sizes.

Ink your papers and roll around a pick. Just remember to place the scalloped edge last so that the design shows.

Tie together with a trim and voilà!

All dies are from Cheery Lynn Designs, papers are Graphic 45, stamps are Magnolia and Infiniment scrap, inks are Versafine and Gistress, paints are Creative inspirations paints.
I know i received a lot of questions about how to make a flower with the corner dies so i am preparing a tutorial for you but i just need time, lol!
Take care and don't forget to go and join our super talented DT in the weekly challenge blog for a chance to win a 20$ shopping spree.

  5. Hello ladies and thanks for your kind comments.
And just to answer the question of Altermyworld, i usually send my cards wrapped in protecting paper and then in an enveloppe. Never got any problem doing it that way and it keeps it doesn't add to much weigh.
Have a nice evening, love from France, Kianel.
