Hi Everyone :) Alison here today, sharing my card for this weeks challenge theme of 'Flowers'.
Now flowers are my very favourite embellishment to use on my projects, they make your cards and creations look so elegant and special, as well as giving a really great dimension too. Its brilliant to be able to make your own flowers to match, and there are so many different floral dies on the Cheery Lynn website, you can make almost any flower for any occasion. :)
For my card I handstitched my papers onto olive green bazzill cardstock. I used the fabulous B137 - Tiffany Border down both sides of the floral paper, and this cuts so crisp its like a dream! :) The flowers are made from 300gsm ivory pearl card using all 3 sizes of the rose dies - B152 - Miniature Rose, B154 - Medium Rose and B155 - Large Rose. I layered them to look like chrysanthemums to match my image.
The neat little swirls were created with just one of the the B162 - Lace Corner - Deco B dies, and I just hooked them in front and behind the ovals to make an ornate frame.
Other dies used on this project were:
B164 - Lace Corner Deco D (tucked just behind the main flower)
I hope you find time to play along with our challenge this week, and I look forward to seeing some gorgeous creations. Dont forget, there is also daily inspiration from the other talented members of the DT over on our Cheery Lynn Designs Inspiration Blog, and if you visit the Cheery Lynn Designs website there is a even a countdown clock to the NEW RELEASES!!! :) These are so exciting!
I hope everyone has a smashing week, and thanks so much for visiting today.
