1/4" wide from the red
1/4" wide from the blue
1/2' wide from the green
1/2" wide from the peach
Then using a piece of card stock 6 inches square as a base, I glued them down in a diagonal pattern. This looked pretty good but I wanted to take it one step further. I cut vertical strips 3/4" wide out of this paper and then started a new pattern. And here is the result.....
I liked the background so much, I did not want to cover it up. So I added two Oriental Butterfly Doilies to the panel. Using my Scalloped Diamonds border and some patterned paper from the same collection, I created the nice border accent, adding some pearls as a finishing touch. This was a fun technique and one I want to try again soon. Finished size is 6" square.
Beautiful design. Know it took a while to make, but well worth the effort. Edna.
