Happy St. Patrick's Day! Make sure you wear your green, we don't want you to get any pinches today!
I am having so much fun with the new doilies from Cheery Lynn Designs. For my most recent LO I grabbed the English Tea Party doily die, cut out the center circle, opened it up and ruffled it around my large circle. It really looks like pretty black lace!
I will be the first to say that I do not like pastel colors too much. So I used some bolder colors for this LO of my new nephew and you know what?...it works! No "baby" colors needed. :)
Here is my complete list of dies used for this project:
Little Stacker Nesting Die - Circles
Buttons3 die
Optimistic Font Alphabet Dies
Mantel Decorations
Embossed Loves Me, Loves Me Not Border die
Hearts1 die
Check out The Scrappiest blog to see how you can win a few besutiful doily dies of your own!

ReplyDeleteLove the layout Liz!
ReplyDeleteLiz, Love your layout. That ruffled doily is a great idea. I would have never used those colors and it is amazing how they work!
ReplyDeleteLove the use of non-traditional colors here! Great use of the doily, too--it does look like lace! Very nice!
