Happy Anniversary Card by Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 3 Comments
Hi friends.  Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft sharing a lovely spring themed anniversary card featuring the new Mehndi Botanicals 3 die set from Cheery Lynn Designs.
I started with an A2 top fold card base made with white cardstock.  I stamped my sentiment on the bottom of the card base and used the Curved Border set to create the layered background for the top portion of the card.

Cheery Lynn Dies used:

I created the papers that I used for the flower and leaves using several colors of distress inks and I then spritzed it with water to create some visual interest.  I cut the flower layers and inked the edges of the petals.  I then used a stylus and foam pad to shape the petals and leaves before assembling the flower.  The center was finished off with a 12mm dotted wave rhinestone from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
My card was then topped off with a pretty bi-color double loop bow made with Tropic and Light Coral Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I hope I've inspired you to pull out one of your Cheery Lynn flower dies and create a pretty spring themed card.  Happy crafting!

A Mother's Day card with Maggi

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Here's a pretty card for Mom with a hidden greeting that you could change for any occasion.  There's a tag hidden under the image that pulls out.  You can see the hidden tag in the next photo.  I've use some Maja Designs paper with bright white cardstock.
I used a couple of layers of Maja Designs Enjoying the Outdoors paper along with the bright white cardstock.   The striped background layer was cut with French Flair Pierce And Cut Tool .  Then I cut a layer with Quadrafoil Square Doily 2 Piece Die Set and tucked it in the top left corner.  Over the top of that, I layered an image from the design paper.  The little tag that I stamped my sentiment on is also from the design papers.
I used Cherry Blossom 2 Piece Die Set to make the flowers.  I just shaped them a little bit and stacked two layers together and topped with some fun pink bling.
I used Flourish #1 Die underneath the flowers to give the appearance of a vine winding its way up the side.

Tea Rose Mini Album Pages & Video with Cheryl Walker

2:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello everyone, so excited to be sharing my 2 page layout for a mini album I'm currently working on using Cheery Lynn Dies. I also have a video showing you how I created these Beautiful Delft Tea Rose Glass Flowers.  They are super fun and easy to make! Hope you enjoy my video for today!!!
Awww, I came across these old photos of our family taken years back when the kids were little, and one wasn't even born yet. WOW, it's hard to believe these little ones are all grown up. How time surely does fly by. I miss those days :(

On my layout I used all Cheery Lynn beautiful dies, love how they work so beautifully in this mini album. I chose to use the Royal Scandinavian Doily on both pages as a backdrop for each photo. I wanted to keep this album simple, no pull-outs, just a spot for photos and my focus was mainly on the flowers for these pages.

Tea Rose flowers- Love using these, and how you can make them look so different by using design paper and a little ink. Super fun!  I love how the leaves turned out too, so real looking!

Design papers are from Club Scrap Delft collection. Pearls are from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I used a heat gun, glue gun, glue pad, and embossing powder as my extras for today.

Hope you enjoy my video today, as I surely enjoyed making it to share with you all!
Please let me know what you think of todays post, as I always love reading your wonderful comments!!

An Owl Hello by Cherry Nelson

4:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there Cheery Lynn peeps! Cherry here today with a fun card.  I fell head over heels in love when I found this owl.  Didn't take much to make it cute.  I ran it through my die machine twice to add a little detail to her.
I used the card maker rectangle classic nesting dies layered on top of each other.  Then I added foam adhesive to make my owl dimensional and some seam binding and lace were added as a finishing touch.
For a little more detail I added a flower from the Mehndi Botanicals 3 die set stacked with a button and twine.
Last thing to do was to add a sentiment from the Bohemian word set. Cute, simple, and a little sweet! Thanks for visiting the Cheery Lynn Blog today.  Hugs, Cherry

Imagine by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi, it's Jenny here on the blog today.  I've been in a vintage mood lately and this is what I came up with.  I just love the detail on the Chasing Rainbows Doily.  It cut out beautifully for me too.  I love how Cheery Lynn die cuts fall out of the dies so easily.

I used the second largest die in the A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped Die Set  to cut the patterned paper.  I mounted it on kraft paper cut slightly smaller than the A2 card.  The kraft card stock was distressed with ink and the edges were roughed up too.  I glued the Chasing Rainbows Doily and then popped up the old car with foam adhesive after backing it with yellow patterned paper.

The wheel spokes are brown sequins with black rhinestone centers.

Thank You Love Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Good morning lovelies.
Oh I am so happy that spring has landed here in The Netherlands as I am longing for some warmer weather and some vitamin D....next week it's going to be about 18 degrees and I can't wait for that. Well enough of me blabbering about the weather today. I would like to show you another card, this time it's made with the gorgeous "Summertime" collection by Maja Design and no flowers for me this time {well a little but no die flowers I mean}.

Thank You Love:
I am a hugh sucker for those DL278 - Horizon Fishtail Banners dies.  The projects you can make with them are endless. I completed my card without any mixed media and that was really hard because nowadays all is mixed media....so no sprays, paste, etc, only a stamp with the word love.

3:30 AM 6 Comments

Hello Cheery Lynn fans, it's JULIE here and today I am sharing a card that is a fairly quick design to make using the Stacker Dies should you need a card at short notice.

I started by cutting out my mats and layers in coordinating papers from Maja Design then added a stamped sentiment onto my centre mat using Archival Ink.

My Daisies were shaped on my Embossing mat adding a Pearl into their centres, placing on my card with a few leaves and a heart chain for extra detail.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and for all the lovely comments you leave, it is so appreciated and I love reading them.

Beautiful Tiger Lily by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 4 Comments
A warm hello to you today. It's Debbie here with you from Debbie's Time Out. Today I am showcasing the beautiful Tiger Lily along with the Paisley Frame and the IOE Vintage View folder.
I started by using a piece of sparkly gold pow paper as my base. Next I printed the happy birthday sentiment on my computer onto white cardstock. I then embossed the white cardstock using the IOE - Vintage View Embossing Folder and IOE - Square IOE Plates . I cut down the Paisley Frame  to fit between the embossed images. To the raw edge of the paisley frame I added a gold strip to finish it off.
Now for the beautiful Tiger Lily . I cut two of all the pieces of the flower in white. I  inked them with distress ink then shaped and layered them together.  The details in the flower and leaves are so nice. The centers even pop out for more dimension. I added a few black dots with a fine pint pen.  I hope I have inspired you to play with the Tiger Lily die if you have it.

Thank you for visiting the blog today and for all the comments you leave. They are always appreciated and I enjoy hearing what you have to say. Have a crafty day my friends.

Easter Wishes With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi! Welcome back to another Easter card for Cheery Lynn Designs! I had a fun time making this Easter card using several die cuts from Cheery Lynn Designs. I adore the "bunny" and I added his fun eye. The "lace egg" in the background is so delicate... Perfect for Easter.

I stamped the sentiment on the "quatrefoil tag" in black ink. All the flowers are "sweet williams strip" and I added pearls in the center. The "floral bouquet kit" is a must have because there are so many flowers and leaves to choose. I also added the "grass border" and "victorian fence"

A closer view...love the details on the tag...

The adorable bunny, egg, flowers and grass...

Spring Flowers with Maggi

3:30 AM 5 Comments

Hi there Cheery Lynn fans!  Maggi here with a spring treat for you today.  After those awful storms that roared through parts of the US, we need some spring!  My project today is a large (6.5" x 12") thickboard Etcetera tag.  Let me tell you, I had more fun with this project than anything I've done in a while!

I wanted to showcase some of the pretty flowers you can make with Cherry Lynn dies AND I wanted to play with my new Distress Oxide inks and Alchemy Metallique Wax.  This is the result!  I started out with a stencil and white masking paste to create the textured quadrefoil design you see.  After that completely dried, I started playing around with the Oxides.  To achieve the effect you see here, I used little finger tip sponges and sponged on different colors of ink and then I lightly misted the ink; enough so the oxidation process was initiated but light enough so that the colors did not pool.  After that was dry, I applied aged brass all around the sides of the tag as well as random swipes over the tag.
The piece in the center is metal and came from a tin bucket that I altered a while ago.  I knew I'd use it sometime!  I've used two Cheery Lynn die-cuts underneath the center piece.  On the bottom is a Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique Stacker Frame and on top of that is a Celtic Oval Boutique Stacker Frames.  I used some Stampendous aged teal embossing powder around the edges of the oval die-cut.
I inked all the flowers and leaves with Oxide Ink to get that soft faded look.  For the blue flowers and leaves, I used an ink color that was similar to the color of the cardstock.  For the orangish flowers, I started with yellow cardstock and applied both fossilized amber and spiced marmalade inks, again only lightly misting.  The orange flowers are made with the Sweet Williams Dies and the blue, with the Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Set.

I used Flourish #14 2 Piece Die Set and Flourish #4 Die  to diecut the leaves and greenery.

This large flower was made with the Stacker Flower 5 Die  and I used the  Small- Heart Lollipop Fringe Cutie Die to make the flower's center.  I painted and ink a tiny canvas and mounted it and the flower onto the tag.

Instead of a traditional bow at the top, I opted to use a piece that I molded using air dry clay and a Baroque mold.  After it dried, I applied Alchemy Metallique aged brass wax as a coloring agent.  The small piece at the bottom near the largest flower was made the same way.

Airbrushed Peace Dove Card with Cheryl Walker

12:30 AM 7 Comments
Hello everyone, and Happy Sunday to all!
Today's card was designed using 7 Cheery Lynn Dies, and I LOVE the way it has turned out. I did some airbrushing on the Gorgeous Peace Dove, Glass Flower Technique on the Sweet William Flowers, and some sewing on this one. But I truly love layering using my Cheery Lynn dies, as they are all beautiful dies and easy for me to work with!
The Peace Dove was cut out using white card stock.  I then airbrushed it with 3 Copic color blues , and then added some liquid glitter to the wings and tail feathers. The eye was done with a viva pearl pen in black.

Next I airbrushed the little sentiment circle(LPC4 circle Die) using green and blue, and the die as a pattern for the top. I just held it in place and airbrushed over it. Super fun and super easy to do!  The die that is behind the circle is the Pierced Stacker #3 XL-21.

B307 Sweet William Strip Flowers- cut out in coordinating design paper, and then the edges of each flower were distressed using ink and a dabbing tool.  I then did my Glass flower technique on them, and that tutorial can be found HERE under my tutorials. Lastly I added some Really Reasonable Ribbon pearls to the centers of each.

DL280 Royal Scandinavian Doily was cut out in white card stock, an then cut up to place behind my 2nd layer on my card. Super fun way to use this doily on a larger square.

DL184 Sophias Heart doily was used cutting out coordinating design paper and placed on top of my layer 2 to give a base for my next layer which is the pierced stacker #3 and the Circle LPC4

Greenery is from the B587 Step Card Bundle Set #4.  These were cut out in white card stock and colored with Copic markers.

Sewing was done in blue thread.

Step Card Bundle Set #4Circle Pierce LPC4
DL184 Sophias Heart doily
DL280 Royal Scandinavian Doily
B307 Sweet William Strip Flowers
Peace Dove B605
Pierce Stacker #3 XL-21

I love how the blues look here, and on the dove. This card may look like it took long to make, but really it didn't! I think the longest part was doing my glass flowers, as you have to heat them and dip them, so that takes a little time, but well worth the results I say :)
Thank you so much for looking and I always love to hear what you think of my card for today! Happy Creating to all!
Hugs,
Cheryl

Whimsical Birdhouses by Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 4 Comments

Laurie here sharing some Whimsical Birdhouse cards today!

I love Cheery Lynn whimsical dies and this is a great one for making some fun spring cards. I used lots of bright colors, and added some flowers from the Floral Bouquet and Indie Bouquet sets. I added the lil feathered friend from the Bird on a Branch die. So cute:) It's all backed on a pierced circle:

For the next card, I switched up the colors a bit and added a Celtic rectangle to the design. This time instead of stamping a sentiment I added one from the Love Gift Envelope set.

The tiny cute hearts on the birdhouse roofs are from the Doily Companion Square set. That's another fun set for spring and summer! It has the sweetest tiny flowers and garden tools.
