Today is my first post as a design team member for Cheery Lynn Designs. My fellow team members have really been making some fabulous cards and projects this week. I decided to combine 6 different Cheery Lynn Designs products to create my card.
I started with this wonderful XL Embossing Plate called Daisy Garden. It is a whopping 5 7/8 x 7 3/4 inches. That means you can use it as a background for a 6" square card like I have here. But instead of just embossing my paper, I applied white dye ink to the embossing plate first, then embossed my Vista Stardreams text weight paper. This added white ink to the indentations of the design, making it stand out more. Because the embossing plate is metal, it is very easy to add ink to the raised portions without getting ink on the rest of the plate. Next I created the trellis using the Lattice 1 die. Then I die cut 3 of the butterflies from the Butterfly Bundles set, adding some Stickles to their wings and bodies. I stamped the Penny Black image with Marvy Markers direct to rubber, then die cut it out with my Little Stackers Nesting Oval die. Before I addded the Little Stackers Nesting Scalloped Oval panel behind my image, I punched circles in each of the scallops with my hand punch. I added some Stickles to the flowers and leaves as well. The last step was the sentiment which is another die from the Miss You to Pieces Expression Collection. I again added white die ink before embossing it to give it a little extra dimension. Finished size is 6" square.
