Jingle Bells With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello again! Are you getting all your Christmas cards done? Well, I have been working on mine and I'm slowly getting there....I have been busy with my new puppy...he tries to come help me scrap too!
This is a new card using a sketch from Verve using some Verve stamps and more Cheery Lynn Designs die cuts.

I believe the "cuties 3" is on the clearance section so be sure to pick yours up soon!
I love the "stitched circles" I use them quite a bit. The beautiful "holly" is the smaller of the two in the set. So you can go bigger if you like.

I added some pearls throughout....

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great week!
Hugs Lisa

Thinking of You Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 0 Comments
Good morning Cheery Lynn Fans.
I just can't believe that time flies by so fast.  Our handsome son is going to high school after this summer. That means more scrapping time for me, but also I need to help him a lot with his school work. So I need to work in advance if I want to keep up with my design team work. So I am working ahead a little. For today I have another card to share. This time I wanted to highlight the amazing "Cuties" dies Cheery Lynn Designs offers.

Thinking of You:
This time I went for my favorite color purple with mint green and shades of brown. I really love this combination and that bird is so freaking cute. I just love to use the circle dies Cheery Lynn Designs offers especially if used together.

The burlap die is one of my all time favorite dies because it can be used not only for Christmas/Halloween etc, but for all sorts of occasions like what I did here. On the background of my card I added two different stamps by 49 and Market designed by Gabrielle Pollacco. The papers I used are all by Maja Design and are from several collections.
Thank you so much for visiting the blog today!
I hope you enjoyed my post and I have inspired you to use your Cheery Lynn Designs dies. Please visit my blog for a chance to win two different prizes Amy's Pretty Papers
Have a stunning upcoming weekend!

Rainy Day Friends by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi Everyone, It's Julie here hosting the blog today. With an abundance of beautiful colours everywhere from Summer flowers I found myself inspired to make a brightly coloured card.

I used my Cuties Strip around the edge of my frame, layering on my doily and stamped sentiment with Silicone Glue. My Butterflies were layered 3 times using a smaller one in the centre and adding some gems.

My flowers were made using 3 layers of paper, shaped on my embossing mat and a few Pearl Stamens added to the centres.

Happy Birthday Card by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi, it's Jenny today with my very first post for Cheery Lynn Designs and I'm so excited to be here!

I tend to use many of the same colors so I thought I'd try something a bit different and use yellows and oranges.  I began with the background by cutting the Princess Window from white card stock and gluing a slightly smaller piece of patterned paper to the back.  The window was then adhered with foam adhesive to a another piece of patterned paper cut with the largest Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frame which was backed by a gray 5.5" square card.

The orange Large Roses and yellow Cuties 3 flowers were colored with glimmer mist and distress ink, shaped with paper shaping tools and glued with score tape to the Princess Frame.  I tucked leaves and flowers from the Flourish Leaf Strip and Dandelions into the arrangement and added the distress ink colored mushrooms underneath.

I cut the Small Exotic Butterfly 2 with blue patterned paper and darkened the edges with distress ink.  Happy Birthday was glued to the top of the Sentiment Tag 2 which was then popped up with foam adhesive.

Lattice and Trellis with Rhonda

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Happy Thursday to you, it's Rhonda here today to host the blog and share a project.

Cheery Lynn has some gorgeous frame dies and I particularly like the Lattice background. I also really love the Trellis die, it always adds a bit of charm to your project.

I started with a white cardstock A2 base, then cut the Lattice Frame from light kraft cardstock and adhered. Next I cut the Polynesian Sails Oval in a pretty blue, then attached. The next layers are the Horizon Oval Boutique Stacker (medium) followed by an Oval Scalloped LG Stacker.

The Trellis was cut from kraft cardstock, as well as two different frames from the Sentiment Frame #2 set which I added a rub-on sentiment to. The top sentiment frame is adhered with foam dimensional dots so the Add A Flourish and foliage could be tucked in.

The florals were arranged and a few smaller flowers were added from the Tiny Flower Kit. Some gems in a variety of colors finished the card along with a tiny bow.

On Your Special Day by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 5 Comments

Lovely to have you stop by today. It’s Julie here hosting the blog. This week my Mojo was at an all time low... don’t you just hate when that happens. So I decided I would play along with our Wedding Theme Challenge for this week and I was soon back on track.

I decided to make a 6x6 card and thought it would be nice to have colours resembling the bride, groom and bridesmaid on my card, so I chose White, Grey and Lavender to work with. I cut out my French Lattice die twice in grey card and pieced them together to fit over my lavender paper to form a square. When doing this I found it easier to have my lilac paper cut roughly to the size I needed. I then worked out where my crosses matched best to make my join and re-align the 2 pieces together and glued onto my lilac card,  finally trimming around the edges. My topper is two stamps stamped onto a pearlised linen card and die cut out with a little grey card mounted behind to make the design POP.

You will see I have used my Cuties Strip around my card. This die makes gorgeous flowers but is also great to use as accents onto your card. I die cut out in white card and inked the edges with a lavender shade. On the reverse of the paper I pressed my embossing tool into each petal, this gives a little more dimension to your card as doesn’t look flat when glued on.

I placed the Victorian Flourish die onto my card and used a couple of the waste pieces onto my design too. My miniature roses were cut out from linen card and when the glue had dried I rubbed over some lavender ink. Everything was placed onto my card along with my final touches of bling.

Little Women by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello there Blogging friends it's Julie here today. This week I thought I would make an Easel card using one of the Reflections Boutique Mega Dies. These are really clever dies as they give you scope for cutting out many different sizes. They also cut out  2 layers of cardstock with ease so you can make shaped cards.

My flowers and doilies were cut out using white cardstock and inked. I added flowersoft into the centres of my flowers. I used the Cuties 3 strip curled around my image.

Good Luck to everyone entering our Weekly Challenge.Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you all next Saturday.

Pink Flowers with Feather

3:00 AM 7 Comments

Hi everyone!  My name is Holly Brown, and I am thrilled to be the guest designer for Cheery Lynn Designs this month.  I fell in love with Cheery Lynn Designs when I saw their dies a couple years ago, and I have had so much fun building up my collection and playing with all the different dies.

That's exactly what I did for this card today.  I just pulled out some dies and started cutting.  After mixing and matching and moving things around, I ended up with this.  The tiny pink flowers on the sides are from one die - Cuties 3.  I cut some of the Cuties 3 strips in half and rolled them up.  I left the top two rolled up and didn't pull the petals out.  The next two are the same thing except I pulled some of the petals out.  The two at the bottom are the whole Cuties 3 strips with the petals partially pulled out.

I used the following dies on this card:

Thanks for stopping by to visit!  I'll be back next Friday with another creation to share with you.  Enjoy your weekend!
