Mini Doily Fun!

Hello! Don’t you just love the new dies from Cheery Lynn Designs?! The design team has shared some gorgeous inspiration with them this week!
One if my favorite new additions is the Mini Doily line! I decided to have a little fun with them by using them to create the background for my layout!
I started by using the Lady Kate Edger to create the lacy edge around my background. I cut several of the Canadian Kaleidoscope Tiny Doily, Italian Flourish Tiny Doily, and Sophie’s Heart Mini doilies, staggering the shapes throughout the background, added texture and visual interest. The Mini Pearl Rectangle Reflections Mega Die created the prefect photo matte. The Classic French Flair Silver Stacker atop the Scalloped French Flair Stacker Nesting Die is ideal way to create your own journaling block.
Dies are a quick, fun way to dress up stickers! I added a jute bow around the canning jar, then adhered it with foam adhesive. Using Daisy Strip and Small Leaves 2, I added more texture, color, and dimension. I also added some little flowers from Build a Flower Embellishment #3.
There is still time to enter this week challenge for your chance to win the $20 shopping spree! Details Here

  5. This is such a happy, summery layout Jodi. The tiny doilys look like clouds with the kite in the sky. Your photo is perfect with the umbrella adding to the cloud illusion. Love it!
