Today, I thought I would show you how to combine old and new dies to create an Alstroemeria Lily. I played around with the proportions of this one, using our different flower dies, and was really pleased with the results. I hope you will give it a try.
Here are the cuts that I used. Notice, in the picture, I used the star from the large rose, but I found it was too small - so for my final sample, I used the Stacker Flower 3. It will be easiest to color your petals and them cut them as needed. The flower will be assembled on a large rose base - with two of the petals removed as shown.
Although my picture above shows the inner petals as one piece - it works better to cut them into individual petals, shape and glue inbetween the base petals.
Finish the center stamens with Flower Soft, pinch together at the bottom and glue to the center of the flower. Shape the petals and arrange them under the flower.
The new CLD Challenge this week is Tickled Pink. We would love to see your creations using Cheery Lynn Designs dies - and each week a project is chosen to win a $20 gift certificate to the store.
