Smashing Pumpkins

Good Morning fellow crafters and bloggers, Alison here today :)  sharing my card for this weeks challenge theme of 'Corner Adorners'. 

 

Now there been some stunning creations made this week with the new release dies from Cheery Lynn and I thought I would showcase a few more of the new dies today on my cute seasonal birthday card.

 

I started out with a 6 x 6 Kraft card base and layered cream and green bazzil cardstock, MME papers and inked the edges with brushed corduroy DI's. 

 

I then had the most fun creating this card ever! :)

 

I joined each Corner with one of the brilliant Expandable Tiny Border dies - this is now officially my new favourite border die!  I love it! :)  I added acorns in the corners, extra leaves and I used the Quilling Strip die to make the rolled swirls in the top corners too.  The wonderful Fall Pumpkins dies cut beautifully and have great texture, but most of all I love the twiddly bits that come with them - they are so much fun! 

 

I really love the new sentiment sets in this release too and I know I will use them over and over.  I added Happy Birthday to my card using the smaller dies in each set.  Finally, the mini 3d pumpkins were nicked out of my pot pourri bowl so the card even smells seasonal too!
