Doilies Challenge & Our Weekly Spotlight Top 3

Hi and Good Morning  :)  Alison here today.

Thanks so much to everyone who entered our last weeks challenge of  'Use A Letter'.  Again we had some really creative, original and stunning entries and the Top 3 picked by our DT in order of entry are:

Well done ladies, gorgeous work!  Please contact us for your Weekly Spotlight Badge to display on your blog.

My card today uses a stunning doily die from our New Releases called Notre Dame Cathedral .  I knew when I saw this doily that it would be perfect for fantasy images and oh my does it cut crisply - its fabulous!

I stitched Prima papers to American Crafts white textured cardstock before layering and sticking to a 6 x 6 card base.  I also used the same textured card for the rest of die cuts and it worked beautifully.  After adding the doily, I criss-crossed the centre weave of the stunning celtic chain border - (officially my new favourite border!), and added some leaves to the corner.

I then created the carnation using the Build a Flower #2 carnation petals and leaves.  I cut approximately 16 petals, inked the edges and then just  scrunched and layered them adding the leaves lastly and securing with a white brad.  You can create endless types of flowers with these dies and they have such impact.  I stamped my greeting on one of the Sentiment Frames and for the finishing touches I added some beautiful Mini Dimensional Butterflies and white pearls

All dies used on this card are:

Doilies make such elegant additions to your projects, so I hope you find time to enter our challenge this week.  Dont forget there is always fresh daily inspiration from the rest of the talented DT over on our Cheery Lynn Designs Inspiration blog.

I hope everyone has a smashing week and thanks so much for visiting today.
