Kianel here with you today. As you know, we are having a joint venture with the Core'dinations Cardstock design team members.
Their design team members will be showing projects using Cheery Lynn Designs dies each day on their blog and our design team is showing you creations made using Core'dinations papers everyday.. Those papers work perfectly with Cheery Lynn Designs dies as you can emboss or deboss them, sand them and the other color appears, or whatever you want to do. So versatile! So here is my card:
The main image is from Stampavie and the colouring is made with distress and CI paints. The text stamp is from Magnolia. I decided to emboss them using the "pierce and stitch" plate from Cheery Lynn Designs and a paper from "the chocolate box" collection from Core'dinations. I first cut out "Judy's blooms" die from Cheery Lynn Designs. I embossed the die cuts with the "piercing and stitching" plate and used both sides of the Core'dinations paper to get different effects of texture.
I sanded the brown side with the Core'dinations Sand-It Gadget and got to see the pink dots appear. I also sanded the sides of my flowers to get a vintage look. For the leaves, I embossed the pink side of the Core'dinations paper and inked the dots and sides of my paper. I then added some flowers and a flower I made out of lace. Here's a close up of what you get:
For the structure of my card, I used both sides of the Core'dinations paper the same way as for the flowers and leaves. It makes a fun beautiful background. In a white Core'dinations paper, I cut the "Japanese lace frame". I used the leaves from the die with some ink and on my clustering. For the frame, I decided to pass a satin ribbon in the laces and make some bows at each angle. I also made a frame with the "little coved rectangle stackers" and printed my sentiment on it.
Here are the CLD dies i used to make this card (click to go to the shop):
I hope that you will like my card and get as much fun as I did using the Cheery Lynn Designs dies and Core'dinations papers which are so great to work with!
