A Cheery Lynn Wall Hanging

3:30 AM 9 Comments
Morning Folks, hope you are enjoying your weekend. Its Tamara with your Sunday inspiration and this week I have created a Wall Hanging using the

I first cut the base using the Kaleidoscope Lace French Flair Die, I used the biggest die for this. I then used the French Flair Classic die from the XL Purple Stackers and again I used the biggest die. ( The Purple series are slightly bigger than the silver series this is to be able to create that laying effect)
The silver French Flair came next (paper with the ladybirds on).

I have again used the roses dies mixed in with a few mulberry flowers and then you have the gorgeous build a flower, olive branches and Tropical Flourish

Here's a close up for you of the build a flower. These are so easy to make and don't take a lot of time.
Sorry about the quality of the photos but they are taken with my phone as my camera has had to be sent for repaired.
You still have time to enter into our challenge "Christmas in July" over on the Challenge Blog which ends this evening 10:00pm (Eastern Time)

Cheerful Christmas in July

6:24 AM 7 Comments
It really is hard to believe we are half way through this year already.
But is you are one of those that really likes to plan ahead, we are tempting you this week over at the Cheery Lynn Challenge Blog with a Christmas July theme.
My creation today goes along with that theme.
I know I have mentioned before how I  love to use my Mary Engelbreit calendars as pieces for focal points of my cards.

What I wanted to do with this card was to somewhat mimic the scene that was going on in the Mary Engelbreit image.

You can see here the Window C, peeking from the back of the card image..

When you open up this tri-fold card you will see the small, simple scene inside the Window. I made the snow with Scalloped Circles, the stars are from the Patriotic Swag, the trees are upside down leaves from the Frangipani, and the festive colored flower is the  Frangiapni with leaves.
I also embossed the white scalloped circles with Eccentric Circles Embossing Plate to give them more dimension.

On the inside of the card, I used the Mini Pearl French Flair die for a large background piece and decorated it with the Frangiapni with leaves and Bird on Branch 2.

The white space gives a nice area for a personal note.

I love how the Franipani doubles as a "hook" to catch the corner of the image and holds this card closed.

Be sure to check out our challenge blog and we'd love for you to play along with us on our challenge for your own chance at winning a shopping spree worth $20.00 of Cheery Lynn Designs Dies.
I hope you had a wonderful holiday.

Love tag - Kianel

4:59 AM 10 Comments
Hello dear Cheery Lynn designs lovers,
Kianel here with you today to show you a tag i made using some of the wonderful new dies that were released this week: aren't they just all stunning?! Yes, they are! So here is the tag (click on the picture to enlarge it):
First i built a heart frame using the Heart to heart lace doily: exquisite design! Love it!
To build that flower, i used several dies: 1st i cut 3 inside dies from the Manon's wedding garland and slightly inked them. I then cut 6 times one of the dies from the Lace corner Deco I that i inked and put under. I finished by adding a premade rose in the center. I then added several Mini fanciful flourish and Flourish leaf strip that i inked with distress and covered with Creative Inspirations paint.
I also used two of the dies from the Mini Exotic butterflies set with the matching angel wings.
I stamped my sentiment and cut it using the little stackers circle and then cut my paper with little stackers scalloped circle and decorated with the Flourish leaf strip. The border i used is called Ribbon eyelet border with piercing and i added a ribbon inside. I then used one of the dies from the mini exotic butterflies set with matching angel wings.
The papers are from Maja Designs, the image stamp is a Stampavie, the sentiment stamp is Whimsy stamps, all the dies are from Cheery Lynn designs, the shimmer paint is from Creative Inspirations and the colouring is made with distress inks.
Just go and check what the DT members made here to illustrate the new release on monday and you will be blown away for sure!
And remember to come and join our weekly challenge for a chance to win a 20$ shopping spree!
Lots of love from France, Kianel.

All Coved up - Coved Rectangle Easel Card

3:30 AM 18 Comments
Morning/ Afternoon/ Evening Cheery Lynn fans, Tamara here and welcome to Thursday.  Very nearly the weekend and only 5 more days until the exciting May Release Day (Tuesday 15th May).  Sshhh... I'll let you into a little secret.. all the new dies are simply gorgeous!!!

Right back to my inspiration for today.  You may have noticed that I love to create easel cards. Making shape easels are so easy using Cheery Lynn Dies.  This week is a first for me a Coved Rectangle Easel card. It turned out so well don't know why I haven't made one before...

Cheery Lynn Dies I used
I was so happy with the way this card turned out and with the colours that I used.  I think the
greens and pinks go really well with the touch of brown.

I have carried the checked paper through to the flowers and added a sprinkle of glitter.  Just peeping out from behind the flowers is that gorgeous Lace Rose and Flourishes die.  I cut the rose off and just used the flourishes.  I really wanted to used the rose so I placed it peeping out from  behind the image.  So I got two dies for the price of one.. lol

This flower I have teamed it up with the Judy's Blooms die and the Roses sprinkled with glitter.

The inside of the easel card, love how this all came together..

Thanks for visiting me today hope you liked the coved easel card.  Don't forget to visit and enter into our challenge this week over on the Challenge Blog.  Our theme is "Shades of Purple" with a chance to win a $20 Coupon to shop in the Cheery Lynn Store.  Also remember to check out the Inspirations blog every day as one of the design team will have a new project to show you with new ways to use Cheery Lynn's fantastic Dies

Second installment of Bag Album

3:30 AM 8 Comments
Hello Cheery Lynn Fan's, Tamara here. I have been creating a bag/envelope album and I want to show you the second part to it here today.
This is the second double spread in the album and over the following weeks I shall show you the rest of the book.
Cheery Lynn Dies needed

Below is a close up of the roses that I made with the rose dies. To create the point on the flowers I used one of the crafters tools, the one with the straight edge and pushed down from the middle of the petal. To create the colour I used walnut satin distress inks to get that lovely brown shade.  I just love this French Flair Doily as it comes in a stack of 3 different sizes and fits perfectly with
  XL - 12 and XL - 13.

Over on Cheery Lynn Designs we are running a Birthday challenge for a chance to win a $20 coupon to spend in the Cheery Lynn Store.
Enjoy the rest of your day
Hugs

Stencil dies - Kianel

3:24 AM 16 Comments
Hello dear Cheery Lynn designs lovers!
Kianel here with you today. I would like to show a vintage card i made using only Cheery Lynn designs dies. Just a few things added to finish the card. This card i made to show you all the possibilities you have with just one die: i came up to at least 3 possibilities. You can cut it, emboss it and use it as a stencil. On this card, i cut the "italian flourish" die and used it as a stencil to work my backgrounds with distress inks. I then cut it in two and placed it on the card.

The base of the card is my beloved "lace square heart mega doily", biggest size.
I then used the XL square stackers to cut a piece of cream paper and inked it using the "italian flourish"as a stencil and distress inks "walnut stain" and "peeled paint".
See how stunning the effect is?
Around that background, i used the "bunny and chick" border which can be used at any time of the year, i just hided the chicks and the bunnies.

The central piece of the card is made using the "french pastry doily" which really is like lace. I stamped my sentiment and used the Classic circle window stackers" to see where i was cutting. Sooo clever! I then added a "little scalloped circle stackers" and placed it under on some 3D pads.

I cut 2 small #2 exotic butterfly , stamped them with a text and inked them with distress and just added some pearls to highlight them.

The flower is made using the "Judy's blooms" die, the "medium rose" and the "miniature rose" dies. There too i used white paper that i inked with distress.

I then added a piece of the "Tropical flourish" and the small dies of the "pine branches".

The 2 rosebuds are made using the "large rose" die and the leaf which comes along with the "miniature rose" die.

As a final touch,  i cut a "two of hearts" die and used the smallest one that i inked with distress under my lace bow.

Voilà, hope you will like this as much as i enjoyed doing it.
Don't forget to check our brand new Challenge blog for a chance to win a 20$ shopping spree and see the amazing creations of our Dt mates.
Love from France, Kianel.
