Best Wishes Pop Up Card by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello Cheery Lynn fans, it’s JULIE here today and I am sharing some Vintage inspiration with our Dies and a new Pop Up one today.

My card measures approximately 6x6 inches and uses pretty Maja Design papers. You will see my paper layers have been tattered at the edges adding a pretty Stacker frame between my layers. I also added a Doily between my torn layers and foam strips to my torn layers to give more dimension to my card.

My flowers were inked at the edges and shaped on my Embossing mat with a gem added to the centres and flourishes paper pieced around my card.

I also cut down a flower to fit on the corner adding a little Silicone Glue between the 2 layers, I love how pretty this effect looks.

My Best Wishes sentiment was layered onto my card adding another layer of patterned paper inked at the edges and flower petals in the corners all to compliment the outside of my card.

Say it with Flowers by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 4 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn Fans, it’s JULIE here today and I am sharing some more inspiration using another of our beautiful Mega Doilies on my card that measures approximately 8 x 8 inches square.

The Italian Flourish Doily comes in 3 sizes and on this card I have used 2 of them on my layers. Both were cut out in white cardstock and some Distress ink added to the edges. I like to not put glue on the edges of my Doilies, only adding some to the centre. I find this helps to put a little movement into the design and softens the look.

My Daisies have 4 layers on them with a little Distress ink and a Pearl added into the centres.  You will notice that two of the layers of petals are folding down the way and two folding up the way, this helps give stability to the flowers.

Happy Birthday was stamped with Archival ink and mounted onto a little cheesecloth and foam strips for extra dimension.

Finishing off with Pearl Strands, Accents of Pearls on my flourishes and a pretty double layered Butterfly.

Faith Hope & Love with Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone!  I'm back with a new card.  I love the font on the Faith Hope & Love Die.  It reminded me of the gorgeous scripts I've seen on blackboard signs so I decided to create my own blackboard look on this card.

I cut two of the Faith Hope & Love sentiments and offset one behind the other for shadowing.  The dark paper is a gray and not black to add a softer contrast.  I cut the Medium Rose out of three different pink papers for a little added interest.  The leaves are from the Mehndi Botanicals 1 Set.  They are so detailed and whimsical.

The Beach Life 8x8 Layout by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Good morning lovely fans.
Do you also love summer as much as I do?
I just can not say goodbye to it yet....so I will not and you will see that on my 8x8 layout that I show you today. For this layout I used a picture of our son back in 2010 when we where in Spain for our vacation I just can't get enough of these lovely pictures of him. I used the amazing "Sand & Sea" collection by 49 and Market for this layout.

The Beach Life:
First I cut out all the dies that I wanted to use as I normally do when I create a project for Cheery Lynn Designs. Then I place them on my background sheet and pick out what I like best....after that I work on my background with stamps, sprays and paste. I distressed all the edges you see on my work also the mat behind my picture and the outer borders of my layout.

The flowers are treated with Lindy´s Magicals and white spray and I added a pearl in the centers. For the background I used a bubble stencil with paste.  Once it dried I added star dust Stickles on the bubbles to let it shine a bit.

I just love how the dies compliment the paper and the colors go so well together. I am very happy this layout tuned out the way it did. Don't you just love these flowers??? Awesome Bohemian collection -one of my favorites of Cheery Lynn Designs.

Mixed Media Create Dreams Tag by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Good morning lovely fans.
Oh boy, can you create your own dreams! You can if you just believe in yourself. This tag was created using all products from every design team I work for with a spotlight on Cheery Lynn Designs of course. I totally went overboard using mixed media products and I had so much fun making this tag.

The amazing film strip die I used here I got in one of my last allotments and it was on my wish list since it got released....so glad I finally got it.

Create Dreams Tag:

First I got out a piece of white cardstock and cut it in a tag shape. Then I added some black gesso, clear crackle paste and teal acrylic paint and layered those on top of each other after drying them first. When all was dried I placed a stencil and added some granite paste to my tag. Then I cut out all the dies I was going to use {only three this time} and placed them on my tag how I liked.
On the centers of my flowers I used some metal embellishments and I finished my work by adding some sprays and sequins.  Oh, and not to forget I also made stitch like stripes on my title to make it pop a little more.

Love by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi everyone!  Jenny here today sharing a card using dies from Cheery Lynn's latest release.  I cut the white background with the Paisley Frame and adhered a patterned paper to the back.  I then layered that onto pink card stock before affixing it to the front of an A2 sized card.  I cut the paisley backroud down a little so I had room to add the pink layer.

After the background was set, I started assembling flowers.  I used the Mehndi Botanicals #1 set and cut the flowers a few times out of both pink and yellow paper.  The highest flower was also backed by the cute Mandala Doily.  To finish the card off I added the Love  sentiment and light green rhinestones to the flower centers.

This card was quick and simple to create but the intricate Paisley Frame really makes it stand out.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Birthday

3:30 AM 2 Comments
A warm hello to all. It is Debbie back with you from Debbie's Time Out. Today I am going to share a card using more of the new Bohemian dies that were just released at the CHA.

The doilies are beautiful from this release as well as the assortment of flowers, leaves and swirls as you can see on this card. I layered two of the Mandala Doily  onto the base to start with.

Here I have over lapped three leaves from the Mehndi Botanicals 3 and layered a flower on top from the Mehndi Botanicals 1 . Inking everything up really makes them pop.

This flower is from the Indie Bouquet  and the swirl is from the Mehndi Botanicals 1 set.

For this flower I used the Indie Bouquet  and layered  a embellishment to the center. This leaf is from the same set. Now I really like this leaf with all the little holes around it.

The peach and aqua  flowers are from the Indie Bouquet  set. The Happy  and Birthday sentiments were layered to the top corner.
I hope you have enjoyed seeing several of the new bohemian die assortment used on this card. Such a variety of shapes and sizes with so much detail.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and for all the comments you leave.Comments are always appreciated.  Have a crafty time my friends
