Graduation Card with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn fans!
Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a graduation card today.
It's spring, and while it may not FEEL like spring up north with all the cold temps lately, it IS spring....LOL....and that means time for graduations. I'm trying to get ahead of the game and making several of this card in various school colors. Today's card is in red and yellow.
I used Cheery Lynn's Graduation set which has 2 pieces...the hat and the diploma. I love the detail on these, especially the tassel. So fun! I cut them out in black and white, and adhered them onto a Cheery Lynn stitched rectangle around the sentiment.
Then I cut out Cheery Lynn's Pop Up Celebrate Word in yellow and black. I adhered that along side the rectangle, then backed it all on a red stitched rectangle. Three enamel dots finished the card!

Here's a list of the dies I used:

The Sky is the Limit by Debbie Brownmiller

12:30 AM 1 Comments
Nice to see you here. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out hosting the blog today. It is that time of year again for graduations. Cheery Lynn has a awesome Graduation die set as well as the sentiment "Graduation" so thought I would play with these dies to make a graduation card .
I started this card by embossing the base with the Clocks Embossing Plate  .
I then layered the Burlap Border  near the bottom. That gave me the base I wanted to build on.
Along the left side I have cut the Pierced Banners (Set of 3)  out of map paper and matted it with black cardstock. Because of the printed sentiment "The Sky is the Limit"  I thought the plane from the new Fun Travel Die Set would be perfect to layer on the banner and make it a great guy card.
The burlap border made a nice background to layer the grad hat and diploma on from the Graduation Set (Set of 2. I used gold paper for the tassle and ribbon as well as for the Graduation sentiment. I used some gold outline sticker along the top.
I used the two of the dies from the Say What? (Set of 16  for the  clouds in the sky and to print the sentiments on.
This is a front view of the card. All die cuts are popped up for added dimension. The banner I glued just along the top of the card and let it stick out at the bottom for even more dimension. I was quite pleased with the way the Graduation Set and the NEW Fun Travel Die Set  pair so well together to create this card.

Want to see another graduation card? Well one of my beautiful granddaughters graduates today and I have designed a card  especially for her with love. If you check out my blog @ Debbie's Time Out you will get to have a peek at it. It was created using more Cheery Lynn Design dies.

Don't forget we have a new Bi-Weekly Challenge started for you to join for a chance to win a $20.00 store certificate. I would love to see your creations.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Have a crafty week my friends.

Graduation Card by Karen Maldonado

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi there Cheery Lynn friends!
Karen here today sharing a bright and cheery graduation card!

I started by creating a 4.5 x 5.5 card base in black card stock.  Then, I layered
some beautiful designer papers to the top.

Next, I used the diploma and cap from the newest Graduation Set (set of 2),
and cut my pieces using black and white cardstock.
Then, I created a beautiful flower using my Gardenia Strip &  Rose Strip
I placed all these pieces onto the Oval Little Stackers Nesting die and then
layered it onto the Pierced Stacker #2 piece.

I die cut the sentiment using the smallest die from the Graduation (set of 2),
placed it onto the card, and then finally added one of the dies
from the Small Exotic Butterflies #1 set!  Lastly, I placed some pearls
onto the butterfly and to the card corners!!

I think it will be a perfect card to give for graduation, along with a nice
gift certificate or some cash tucked away inside just for that special gal!

It's still early in the week and plenty of time
to join in on this week's challenge!!

Good luck and I look forward to seeing what you create this week!!

Hugs & Smiles,
Karen
