Celebrate with Roses Card

3:30 AM 0 Comments
A warm hello to you. Glad to see you here. It's Debbie with you  from Debbie's Time Out. Today I am sharing a card with you combining the Step Card die with the Pop Up "Celebrate" die.

I started  with the A2 Fancy Step Card as my base. I cut the Pop Up Celebrate  from a piece of flowered paper and layered it to the center of the step card. The "Celebrate" was inked up with distress inks.  I cut a piece of flowered paper to fit behind the scrolls of the step card.

Here I lave layered three different die cut outs to the center of the step card. The Fleur De Lis Square DoilyDusty Miller Square and the Vintage Tile in that order.

Next came the flower arrangement. All were cut in white and inked with distress inks. I placed two of the  Tiny Fanciful Flourish on two corners opposite each other. I then created roses using the medium- Rose and the Tea Rose small. I added a couple of yellow Darling Daisies  to each side of the rose. I cut and used the Branch as greenery around the flowers. This is a simple card to make  but with the fancy step card and the dies I choose to use it turns out to be a very elegant card that anyone would love to receive.  Until next time have a crafty day my friends.

Just Because with Bonnie Garby

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Hi there.  Bonnie here today from Make Time to Craft with a card featuring some of the gorgeous new release dies from Cheery Lynn Designs.
Don't you just LOVE this gorgeous fern die?  It is absolutely beautiful.  I cut it down a little for the card, but that's the beauty.  It's nice and big if you are doing a layout, but you can also snip it down by removing some of the base fronds if you want it a little smaller.
I cut the Lotus Flower in pink card stock and I inked the edges lightly.  I then shaped the leaves with my stylus to give it some shape and I added it over the ferns with foam tape to pop it up a bit.

My card is topped off with a big double-loop bow made with Sherbet Delicate Stitched Satin Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  It was created on my Bow-it-All V2.0 Tool.
Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Don't forget to head over and play along with our bi-weekly challenge for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to the Cheery Lynn Designs Store.

Nesting BlueJay By Debbie Brownmiller

9:45 AM 2 Comments

Hi It's Debbie here from Debbie's Time Out. I am sharing with you today a card using just four die sets. Three  of them are new from the last release.

For this card I started with three square mats in the black and green followed by the Fleur De Lis Square Doily.  The edges were inked up with distress ink. The beautiful Fern Leaf was layered next. I used the Bird Nest And Eggs die set to create the birds nest. There are two nests with this set and I layered one top of the other. I cut a couple of the smallest eggs and inked them in blue and then splattered some brown specks on them with ink and a brush. The bird is from the Feathered Friends  set. There are four different birds in the set. I used the blue jay and inked it up.  I must say this bird nest set is pretty cool.

I invite you now to join our challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree and possibly be one of our top three picks for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today and for the comments you leave. They are very much appreciated.

Cupid Card with Corina Finley

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello!

Thank you for joining me today, Corina, here on the Cheery Lynn Blog. I will be hosting the blog every second Thursday, by sharing a card that I have created with Cheery Lynn Dies. On opposite Thursdays, I will be sharing an inspiration card for the challenge here and on my blog.

With Valentines is only a few days away, I wanted to use the Cupid die from January's release. I decided to paper-piece him by cutting 2 from white cardstock. I placed one aside as the base. On the other, I used a gold felt pen and coloured is the areas I wanted to cut out and glue to the base. I like the crisp defined look when it is paper-pieced.

I created the background using distress ink, a stencil and water. I saturated the background with distress ink, placed a stencil on top and sprayed with water. Used my heat gun to speed up the drying time. Where the water sprayed on to the distress inked background it lightened and revealed the stencil pattern. Love doing this!

I used one die from the Square Classic set to cut from the center of my inked background (this will get covered up!). I adhered the square to the center of the pattern paper Quadrafoil Square Doily

As you know, I love layering my cards. This gives so much depth and dimension to my cards. Using these dies makes the work so easy. On top of the background, I placed the Fleur De Lis Square Doily and then the Quadrafoil Square Doily.

I used the gold felt pen on the Polynesian Sails Mini Doily and cut it into two. I tucked the largest piece in the top and the other underneath. Added Cupid and a few gold glittered die cut hearts that comes with the Cupid die.
