Happy Easter Card with Rhonda

Greetings and Happy Monday to you! It's Rhonda here today to host the blog and share a project with a few of our new release dies.

My project today is a spring themed Happy Easter Card (A2 size). This card is a tent fold which I cut from some patterned paper. To begin, I trimmed the card (11" long x 4.25" wide), then folded in half.

Once I had the base prepared, I used the striped pattern section on the left to feature the Dutch Daisy Border Set #1 and cut the design vertically about 1/2" in from the left. I then cut a liner (10.75" long x 4" wide) for the inside of the card from a pretty blue and adhered on the inside.

The Grass Border was cut a few times and I attached a simple line border to anchor the basket. The extra cut was cut apart to provide some basket filler for behind the Easter Bunny.

The Spring Basket was cut, then I traced the bottom portion of the basket to create my blue liner in the basket.

I cut two sentiments from contrasting colored papers and adhered them a bit offset to create a shadow.

The Easter Bunny was cut from white cardstock, the edges inked with Antique Linen Distress Ink and some papers added to the back of the egg for interest and a few gems to brighten up his eyes. I also added a bit of vellum behind his foot for interest.

To finish the card I added one of our Pretty Pretty Bows in a vibrant color.

Coming Up Soon - Happy Easter!

Easter is coming up in just a few short weeks, so I didn't want to miss the chance to share a card for the holiday. This Spring Basket by Cheery Lynn Designs is such fun to embellish. It even comes with the chocolate bunny that I placed in it.

I just wanted some small flowers to fill my basket, so I used the Cuties 2, and added the Grass Border and Flourish Leaf Strip to complete it.

I love having the sentiment words for any occasion, and was thrilled when I remembered I had ordered the Easter one a few months ago.

A Tisket A Tasket- You Bet I Have A Basket

Did you see the news this week? Oh yea I am thrilled to be here today with my first Cheery Lynn project as a team member!!!

This week our challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is

Make A Basket

Here are the rules:

You MUST follow the theme and use at least one Cheery Lynn Designs die, of course, we would love to see more than one.
You MUST add a link to your blog post in the InLinkz at CHEERY LYNN's Challenge post; no back posting, only new projects are allowed
You MUST link to our blog in your post

The winner will be chosen based on merit by Cheery Lynn Designs. They will receive a $20 coupon for shopping at the Cheery Lynn website. The challenge will end on Sunday night at 22:00 Eastern time.

Oh yea I had so much fun making this basket! Let me share a list of the dies I used.

Let me say that when I got my shipment of dies from Cheery Lynn I couldn't contain my excitement...oh yea I was like a little girl with new toys!

Can you believe these were the only dies I used? lol

I started by using four square pieces of thin chipboard as my base.Just building the basket piece by piece.The papers I used are called Laces and Grace from Glitz Design, all the colors and patterns in my 8 x 8 pad worked well for creating this basket.

I used adhesive backed card stock for my flourishes, made it easy to attach and form around the handle.

I tried to share a few views of the details.My favorite is the window frame on each panel, I love how perfect this frame cuts out and looks.Each panel was given three eyelets and tied together with a clean white ribbon from Really Reasonable ribbon.

Well by now you should know how I love to create using Cheery Lynn dies, they cut perfectly and have such intricate designs they work well with my style.

Springtime Card

I had a ton of fun making this sweet card.

As usual, I have used a ton of dies and Authenticate Paper's Delightful Collection.

I started by using the largest egg in the NESTING EGGS and decorated it with the following dies:

Lace Edger, Dancing Doily Lace Border and Bunny and Chick.

I then used the Spring Basket 1 and Darling Daisies to create the focal point of the card.

I had found the phrase I wanted to use first, so that is how I decided what to put IN the basket.

The bunny is the perfect touch for this Springtime card.

I love the colors and the dies were such fun to work with on this project.

Hello and welcome back!

This week I wanted to share with you an easel card that I have made.

I started off making a regular easel card out of card stock. I then used the French Flair - Scalloped XL-13 die with the French Flair - Classic L-12 die on top in the blue and lastly the French Flair - Classic - XL-12. I hope thats not too confusing!

Next I used the Spring Basket 1 and added the Darling Daisies. I thought the Darling Daisies were cute for this card as they reminded me of spring and the flowers weren't too big and they sat perfectly in the basket. I used one of the Exotic Butterflies small and finished off with a ribbon at the top of the basket. On the bottom of the card the rabbit from the Nesting Eggs was used as it was a wee bit smaller. I also used Cuties 2 as a border this time for the edge of the card.
