Hi, it's Jenny posting today with some quick cards I made using the new May Release dies. Thank you so much for leaving all the lovely comments on my blog during the hop last week. I also enjoyed reading the comments on the Cheery Lynn Blog about everyone's favorite die. I thought I'd share some of my new favorites with you: the Chevron A2 Frame and the new sentiments dies.
This card was made using only three dies and it's so easy to replicate in different ways. I cut the chevron background die in white and mounted it to an A2 top fold card. I then colored another piece of card stock with red and pink inks and cut that with the chevron die. I glued the colored strips into the negative areas and glitter was sprinkled on the white areas. Below are some other examples of cards using many of the same dies. These were made for my son's teacher and assistant teachers. The chevron can be used with or without the negative pieces. The card on the right uses pieces from the center and left cards to create the blue and black pattern.
My eight year old daughter and I made these Birthday cards for friends. She made the butterfly card. I helped add the glitter glue to the butterfly wings but she did the rest on her own. The card on the left is the Chevron background from the pink strips I used on the first example card at the top of this post.
Thanks for stopping by the blog today and I hope you're having as much fun with these new dies as I am. Remember to join in the Cheery Lynn Red, White & Blue Challenge for a chance to win a $20 voucher for shopping at Cheery Lynn Designs.
Beautiful card! I really love the Chevron Frame die!
