Hello Cheery Lynn Designs lovers!
Kianel here with you today. Have you seen that Cheery Lynn Designs is having a wonderful challenge this week??? Yes, that's allright! To enter the competition you have to make a tag and use at least one Cheery Lynn Designs die. You will find all information here. And if you are the winner, you receive a $20 shopping spree at the shop.
I thought i would make a tag to illustrate that challenge and used several Cheery Lynn Designs dies on this one. The stamp is a Sugar Nellie and coloured with Distress inks and Creative Inspirations paints.
To make my layers i used the A6 Metric rectangle scalloped card stackers and the A6 Metric rectangle classic card stackers. I took a ready made tag that i embossed with the "dotted swiss XL embossing plate" and slightly covered with ink to enhance the dots.
I also used a small exotic butterfly die that i inked and covered with shimmer paint and glued some pearls to.
I am also going to show you how to quickly build a flower out of a die. For that one i used the large base of the "O Tannenbaum X-mas tree" that i cut twice. I inked the borders and glued the sides together.
I then passed a thread through the small holes and tightened the whole thing a little to get a sort of napkin.
I added a rose and a part of the tropical flourish die plus the marvellous olive branches.
I took other parts of the O Tannenbaum X-mas tree. The top to put at the base of my tag with the star down and 2 smaller parts of the tree to add to each side.
To create a border i used the flower chain border that i painted with shimmer paints and a touch of ink and placed it under my tag so only half of it is visible. To give the final touch, i added some half pearls. I also took 2 of the flowers that were left over. I cut one and glued one petal on another and placed it over the other flower. I added a stamen inside and there you have a beautiful flower to decorate your tag with.
I also wanted to show you some of the cards i made with a Christmas kit i am part of here in France. the whole kit is very vintage and it was a pleasure to use my Cheery Lynn Dies to illustrate it.
Here i used the Tropical flourish die and the Cherry blossoms, the XL square stackers, the XL inverted square stackers, the Cardmaker's stackers dies.
I also made this book card and to decorate it, i used the following dies: small exotic butterfly, tropical flourish, Judy's blooms, olive branches and holly flourish. and here under you can see the book card open where i used the tropical flourish again but cut in a printed paper.
And on these 2 ones i used the pine branches dies. This one uses the A6 Metric rectangle scalloped card stackers .
This one also uses the XL oval scalloped stackers and the XL silver oval stackers. The base is an XL square stackers.
I hope that you liked it and don't forget about our challenge! See you next week to discover the exciting new release of Cheery Lynn Designs!!! Love from France, Kianel.
