Grow Old Along with Me Card with Corina Finley

11:10 AM 2 Comments

Hello!

Corina here with you today, to share a card created to highlight the lovely new die set called Dutch Daisy Oval Doily from last months New Release.

I have used a lot of layers on the card base, which are so easy to create with the Cheery Lynn A2 frame sets. Pick your paper, cut and stack! So simple for a great look!

As you can see, my flowers and sentiment are placed on top of the Dutch Daisy Oval Doily die. This die comes as a set of 2 dies. You can use them separately, together, or mix and match this other sets.

I wanted to show you this set with some dimension so I backed the center in red cardstock after I die cut it and trimmed around the outside. I used pop dots to raise and create depth.

I have also trimmed off the edges of the Royal Scandinavian Tag 2 die for my embossed sentiment. I tucked it into my flower arrangement and added rhinestones for sparkle.

Dies used:

Royal Scandinavian Tag 2 - B546

I hope you will play along in our weekly Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge 183 - Lots of Layers. You could win a $20 shopping spree at the online Cheery Lynn Design Store.

Thanks for joining me today!

BE MY VALENTINE AND TICKLED PINK !!!!

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Dear Friends !!!! Its Anita here with my weekly wednesday post. The season of love is now in full bloom and everyone is going valentine crazy!!! So keeping in tune with the mood, here is a card that I made with lovely flowers and valentine dies , all available with the Cheery Lynn Designs. I have used lots of layers for my card and have given it a very lacey background. The Be My Valentine die cut has been made to sparkle using the Wink of Stella clear glitter pen and then more glittery using rangers clear stickles. The flowers are made using the Gardenia strip die . I applied a little yellow distress ink in the center of each flower die,  put three gardenia full flower die cuts together, secured it with a brad and sprayed some water. Then, I brought together the petals crushing them a little.  After it dries, the die cuts are opened gently, the brad is removed and the the three layers are assembled again with pollens in center taking care to offset the petals between each layer. The complete list of dies is given below.

The List of Dies

A2 Frames Rectangular Classic (Set of 7) - CM5

The new challenge is Tickled pink.  So just stop by the blog to share your entires. Till then have a nice day !!!
