Sunflower Tutorial

3:30 AM 6 Comments

Happy Friday Cheery Lynn Lovers.  Today I'm going to share a simple tutorial on how to make these stunning sunflowers.  It's really simple, take a look.

Step 1: Cut three sunflowers from the Sunflower Die.  Ink all the edges of the petal with distress ink.  I use vintage photo for most of my brown distressing.

Step 2 : Crease each petal.  As you can see I use a pair of tweezers and pinch up around with my fingers making a nice crease.

Step 3: Stack two of the flowers together and glue.  On the third cut the center out of the flower.

Step 4: Fold and pleat the interior of the flower petal.  This will take in the diameter so the center petals are shorter and more realistic. You'll finish off the flower with the die cut cetner that comes with your die.

Here are more photos of my easel card I creating using my sunflowers.

Need to get your hands on all the dies I used, no problem...here is a complete list.

Ohh La La - French Flair

3:30 AM 4 Comments
Hello all you Cheery Lynn Fans, Tamara here and welcome again to your Sunday inspiration.  This week I have a Shaped Easel card to show you made using Cheery Lynn French Flair Stackers.  For the card and the base I used the biggest stacker then went down two sizes to create the layered effect.

I used the scalloped circles to make this cheesecloth flower.. The stamp is a new one from Lilly of the valley and the sentiment is from Whimsy stamps..

Here is a close up of the mini and medium roses that I have shaped using an big balled embossing tool the centres are Candi (legless brads). Around the edges I used the wreath leaves.

The inside view, using the scalloped circle  and silver classic circle stackers using them together they create the prefect layer effect.

Here's a closer look at the cheesecloth flower

The flower in the background you can see the flower that I created using the build a flower stamens..

Scalloped Circle Easel Card

3:30 AM 12 Comments
Hi all, Tamara here with your Sunday inspiration.  I'm so excited to post my first project for you, at first I wasn't sure what to do so I stuck with a project that I have been making for a while now and Cheery Lynn dies are just perfect.
My inspiration for you today is in the shape of a Scalloped Circle Easel Card and the dies from the XL Stackers range are perfect.
I have used the largest die from the set but you can use the smaller ones depending on how big you want your card to be.

Cheery Lynn Dies needed to create this project..

To achieve this effect on the flowers I used the straight edge crafters tool and lightly pressed down in the centre of the petal then folded.

Hope you have enjoyed your time with me today.  Join us again tomorrow over on Cheery Lynn Challenge Blog for the start of a new week and a new challenge "Think Spring".

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday..
Hugs
Tamara xx
