Holiday Peace Card by Chrissy Mac

3:00 AM 2 Comments
Hello all!  It's Christmas Theme Week on the Cheery Lynn Design blog and today I am sharing a project using my favorite Cheery Lynn Designs Christmas and Winter die designs.

It's that time of year again that always seems to just fly by, but is filled with fun, friends and family.  I personally have always loved this time of year and although some years are easier than others to get in the holiday spirit, I have to admit I love all that the end of the year holidays bring...baked treats, pumpkin yummies, festive lights, sparkle, the smell of pine and cinnamon and spending quality time with the ones I love.  Time to really get our craft on...right?!  Us artsy craftsy people will be busy making special cards, gifts, themed baskets, special memory books, party and holiday decorations and more.  Today I am sharing a festive card spreading that oh so important message of peace.

We could all use some more peace along with joy and plenty of love!

I like the elegance and simplicity of this color scheme which is a dark matte metallic silver and gold.  Throw in the lovely Cheery Lynn die cuts and some glitter and voila...we have ourselves a merry and festive creation that can be used for either Christmas or New Year's.

Me and dimensional flowers have become BFF's of late so I just had to use this lovely Cheery Lynn Designs Poinsettia die.

Here is a list of the Cheery Lynn Designs dies I used:

Cheery Lynn Designs has a wide variety of Christmas dies to choose from.  These are just a few of my favorites.  Head on over to Cheery Lynn Designs and take a look at the Christmas Section to see all the fabulous dies that are available.  I hope I have helped even if just a little tiny bit to inspire you with some ideas for a holiday card or other holiday themed project.

Thank you so very much for joining me!  It means so much that you stopped by.  Please feel free to ask any questions you would like and as always your comments, thoughts and ideas inspire me to keep on crafting so by all means share in the comments section.

Joy to the World Poinsettia Wreath Greeting Card by Ginny Nemchak

3:00 AM 4 Comments
Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here to share a very country inspired Christmas greeting card I created with fabulous Cheery Lynn Designs Dies, festive patterned papers and perfectly coordinating ribbon trim. This card is an A2 size with a base of cranberry colored cardstock.

These scrumptious Poinsettias are a delight to make as they go together in a snap. I ran the die through to make 2 flowers.....but left the smaller two top layers off and created separate blooms with them so I got 4 flowers for the price of two hooray! After shaping them and assembling them I added a thin coat of a clear Stickle and sprinkled on a diamond dust glitter for a nearly iridescent look then popped in a pearly accent for the center.

To create a fuller wreath I cut two from the Joy To The World die and stacked them up. Additional bulk for the floral arrangement comes from Flourish #13 leaves that are finished with a green Stickle for a little sparkle.

The background is created with a crisp white French Pastry Doily and the tiny berry clusters are a great finishing detail cut with the Holly Leaf die from plaid paper and topped off with red bling..

Okay that's all for me. Wising all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Precious Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:00 AM 3 Comments
Hi lovelies,
As winter is not trying it's best to be very cold and snowy here in The Netherlands!
I am longing for those warm day's already....so for today's post I used the pretty "Frolic"collection by the Blue Fern Studios to make a summery card.
It's totally in contrast to what I posted on my Facebook page yesterday lol.
As much as I love to make winter projects I also love fluttery summer and spring projects.
I did a lot of stitching one this card which I love to do.

Precious:
Every time I see this word it makes me giggle inside because of the movie "The Lord of the Rings"with Smeagol saying "My Precious"talking to the ring hihihi.
This was a really fun and easy card to make if you want to know you can always email me and ask!
You can find my email address on my blog but now let's have a closer look:
First I cut out the largest die of the CM6 - A2 Frames Rectangle Scalloped as the base of my card and I also cut out the third one from the inside out to layer my text on. As you can see on my card I stitched on it as I do on most of my projects....with the machine though because it's way faster.
I really love all the flower dies by Cheery Lynn and the B324 - Poinsettia Strip which I used here is no exception,  Normally I make my flowers more shabby but this time I only curled the leaves to give it more dimension.

Holiday Poinsetta with Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello!  It's Jenny here today sharing a Christmas card I made.  The 3D Poinsetta die from the latest Cheery Lynn Designs release is so detailed and I love the way you can pop up the center flower.  It adds so much interest to a project.  It would be perfect to add to a gift bag too.  Just add some ribbon or flourishes like I did on this card and you're done.

I began by cutting out red and patterned card stock using the A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped set.   Then I cut two of the Holly Lace Flourish and colored them green with distress ink.  The red bow is from the Sweet Candy Cane die.  I cut the bow off the cane.  It was simple to do because of the added detail in the die.  I cut it twice and off set it a little so the white bow would show up and give it a shadow effect.

The 3D Poinsetta was cut using white card stock and colored with red distress ink.  I glued flat back cream colored pearls to the center.

For You by Karen Maldonado

Hi there Cheery Lynn friends!  Karen here today sharing
this fun 3-D Poinsetta card!

I started by using the pink snowflake designer paper and
die cut it using the French Flair Classic Silver Stacker set for the card base.

Then, I created a 3-layered piece to put on the base of the card
using these dies in this order:  Square Scalloped LG Square Stackers,

Then, I die cut the 3-D Poinsetta twice, distressed inked both pieces,
and layered, and added some pearls to the center of the flower.

Finally, I die cut the smallest Pierced Banner die and stamped the sentiment.
I added a few pearl and rhinestone swirls to give a little elegant flair!

List of the dies used:

It's "Anything Goes" for this week's challenge!  Hope
you come and play along using all of your favorite Cheery Lynn dies
for a chance at winning a $20 shopping spree to the
Cheery Lynn Designs on-line store!!

Have a beautiful day!

Hugs,
Karen
