Hello everyone, it's JULIE here today hosting the blog.
Our current challenge is Handmade Flowers and I couldn't resist joining in the
fun using our wonderful new Sunflower set.
I started by die cutting out my Cardmaker die and trimmed
to be the perfect size to Matt and layer onto my Kraft Cardstock and card which
measures around 6 inches square.
I made my sunflower in the same way to this card HERE,
but this time I just added the leaves onto it. I love the size of this flower
as a main focal image on a card.
I would love to see a Hummingbird in real life, they look to be such beautiful little birds. I die cut mine out twice and shaded with inks after looking at some photos on Google. I then heat embossed with Clear
Embossing powder and went around the edges with a little Gilding Wax, layering
up both layers and finishing off with a drop of Black Liquid Pearls onto the eye.
My sentiment was stamped onto my banner and I fussy cut a
shadow background to make it pop.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful comments we
received on Blog Hop day. I enjoyed reading them so much, both on my blog and
here at Cheery Lynn Designs. If you haven't seen the New North American Release dies, please check them out HERE.
