Hi and Good Morning Everyone! :) Alison here today, and this is my first time posting on the Cheery Lynn Designs Inspiration Blog! I was previously found hiding over on the challenge blog, but its such a thrill to be able to now share my designs with you here!
For my card today I wanted to show the versatility and diversity of Cheery Lynn Dies, taking the Seahorse Family as my inspiration and mixing them with some new release dies and older dies too.
I started off with a 6 x 6 inch blank kraft card base, and layered up MME paper and DCWV aqua card. I ripped the second sheet of paper to reveal the Tolkien quote underneath, and then set about adding some really cool dies.
I used the gauze border die to create a fish-net border, and inked the edges with Walnut DI. I added 2 Tropical flourishes and also 2 mini fanciful flourish dies before layering my sea-horses, coral and picture. I made the flower using the Chrysanthemum Strip (I love these floral strips) and a mini flower from the BAF embellishment set.
I have to say, I LOVE those seahorses! You get 3 in a set, all different sizes and designs, and they cut brilliantly!
My finishing touches were charms, pearls, brads, twine and the wee crayfish was created by me.
All dies used on this card are:
B181A - Embellishment #1 - Mini Flower
B188 - Embellishment #2 - Coral Twig
Thanks so much for visiting our blog today, and dont forget we have a fab challenge this week over at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge, where our theme is 'Bling it Up', and the lucky winner will receive a $20 voucher to spend in the Cheery Lynn Store.
Thats all from me today, have a smashing week!
Love how you used all the dies! The Seahorses have come to life with you delightful image!! The Gauze Strip reminds on of a net!! Great job!!

ReplyDeleteThis card deserves more than one look. There is so much going on in your amazing underwater world. The net, the coral, the sea horses and sea critters...all wonerful. And that watery woman image and the quote revealed in the background are just fabulous!
