Spring Hugs

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here sharing a spring card complete with garden fence, flowers and a butterfly. I love the A2 stackers and how great they are for making layers on your card. This card uses 4 of the rectangles to create layers....the focal piece that I water-colored is a much larger stamp and I simply cut with an inner rectangle the portion I wanted to show on my card. The mini doily is inked around the edges to enhance the laceyness of the doily. A mini flourish, mini butterfly and tiny flowers complete the look of the card. I'm ready for spring! only four more weeks!

Love the Tiny Flowers!

3:30 AM 6 Comments

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here playing along with this week's challenge Add a Flourish! I have been creating a lot of projects lately with the Tiny Flower Kit and the Tiny Fanciful Flourishes! I love them! To create this filled letter look on any card is very easy.  I began by selecting a chunky font on my computer and printing out the letters for "love." With chalk I colored over the back of the letters to make it easy to transfer to my card stock. Next I positioned each letter and traced around them with a pencil, transferring the chalk from the back of my letters onto my card stock. I used a black marking pen to retrace my chalk lines and highlight the shape of the letters.
Next I glued down a flourish and stacked flowers starting with the largest and working my way to the itty bitty flowers in the Baby's Breath Flower Kit to fill in the tips. I added mini butterflies when I finished with the flowers!

Tickled Pink

2:30 AM 6 Comments

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here playing along with this week's challenge Tickled Pink! I created my card with shades of pink from a distressed paper pad. To add the green color to the vines and leaves, I used chalks. I bit of line work around the word "love"helps it to stand out against the background. I'm totally loving the paper bow among the flowers!

Have a Cool Yule!

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here to share with you a festive Yule card created with several yummy dies from the October New release! I love the snowflake mesh and the fringe dies along with the Horizon Boutique Circle die! This card is folded off-center so as to accommodate the large 4¾" Horizon Boutique die. The snowflake mesh is actually on the "inside" of the card on the right side so as to "peek" out around the circle edge of the face of the card! The tips of the fringe were hand colored as well as the green leaves and vines.
