Merry Christmas Shaker Gift Bag by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone, it's JULIE here and today I am sharing some Christmas inspiration using our wonderful Shaker Dies on a gift bag measuring 8" x 10" approx excluding the handles, which I have decorated. So let me take you through the techniques on my die cuts.

I used the Lattice Valance Border at the sides of my bag gluing onto a red strip of card and then mounting onto my cream cardstock, finishing with a border of Red Stickles.

I started my centrepiece by cutting my large Snowflake in half and accenting behind my stacker layer. My Shaker Bells were heat Embossed with an Antique Copper, rubbing a little black Archival ink at the edges to age them. I filled one with Shaker Confetti listed below, small beads and Micro beads, mounting the other to the side as an accent of bells ringing.

My Poinsettia's were cut out in cream cardstock inking at the edges and adding a mix of Micro beads to the centres. My Robin was shaded with Distress ink and black Liquid Pearls added for his eye.

I added a lot of foliage onto my design and finished off with some Liquid Snow and Glass Glitter for a frosty look that glistens so lovely when it catches the light.

My Merry Christmas was heat embossed with Red Tinsel Embossing Powder for more sparkle. Finishing my bag off with a pretty bow and an accent of lace.

Season's Greetings by Eva Dobilas

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi there, this is Eva here with a sparkly card today.  I love playing with glitter card stock, so the highlight of my card is just that.

To start out my card I created an A2 card base out of mint green.  Then I die cut a Card Cover Maker #1 out of gold glitter card stock.   I die cut Seasons Greetings Ornament twice, once out of green and again out of red and paper pieced the red onto the free to make the sentiment pop. Then I die cut a Circle out of cream card stock and the circle shaped doily from the Dutch Scallop Square set out of red and layered the circle on top of it.    Then I die cut a Poinsettia Strip out of red and created my flower and added a yellow pearl in the middle of it.  Finally I die cut a Holly Leaves out of green and added it to my flower.

As a last touch I added some gesso on some parts of my card just to have a the snowy effect.

Hope you enjoyed this pretty card and can't wait to see what you share with us using this week's challenge!

Here is the list of item I used to create my card with:

Red and Green Christmas Card by Eva Dobilas

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi there, this is Eva here today.  Well, last week it was about non-traditional color holiday cards.  This week, we are focusing on Red and Green, so of course I wanted to play along in the challenge.

For my card I created my card base using two different dies, Horizon Coved Rectangle Boutique Stacker Frames and Coved Rectangle Scalloped LG Stackers Nesting Dies.  I used red, green and gold glitter and stock.  Then I die cut a Nautical Wheeler Doily using a cream card stock.  Then I die cut two 3-D Poinsettia dies using red card stock and layered the on top of each other and added little pearls in the middle.

I die cut the sentiment from the Joy to the World Wreath die set out of black card stock and added it to my flower and finally I die cut a Peace Dove out of light blue card stock to add to my flower.

Hope you like this little card and here is the list of the dies I used to create it.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see your card this week for our challenge.

Hugs,
Eva
