# Alpine Flourish Doily # Bonnie Garby

Thank You and Happy New Year!

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!  I'm Bonnie from Make Time To Craft and I'm so happy to be your guest designer here on the Cheery Lynn Designs Blog for January.  I've fallen in love with the gorgeous Cheery Lynn Designs Dies and I'm quickly building my stash.  I look forward to sharing some of my creations with you this month.

I cut the beautiful Alpine Flourish Die in white and mounted it on a piece of grape cardstock and then on a darker purple layer and then some white mulberry paper.  That really shows it off.  That gorgeous flower is made with the Cheery Lynn Gardenia Strip.  I inked the edges with a darker purple ink to give some dimension, shaped the petals and assembled the flower.  The double-layer bow that finishes things off is made with grape plaid ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I used the Mini Fanciful Flourish Left and Right dies to embellish the flower.  The flourish wasn't quite long enough to span the bottom of my sentiment, but it was a bit longer than needed for the side.  So, I snipped a portion off on the side and added it to the bottom with a tiny bit of glue.  You can see where I did that by the arrow below.
