Good morning everyone, it's Joann here with you today and I am super excited to share a project I recently made with some of the fabulous January new release dies.
This project actually made the trip to CHA in January and was on display in the Cheery Lynn booth along with many other fabulous projects created by my Cheery Lynn Designs Teamies : )
The photo below gives you a closer look so you can see the detail of the Bricks and Stones embossing for the pathway under the Arbor. To create this pathway, I embossed a piece of plain card stock with the Bricks and Stones Embossing Plate and added some distressing. I then fussy cut the shape to give it the appeal of a "winding" path.
For this Garden Arbor Swing, I created the actual arbor frame out of white card stock. Once I had the frame together, I used the new Mesh Border to fill in my frames on the arbor. The actual swing was created using the Victorian Picket Fence die and topped off with corners from the Hawaiian Luau Doily Frame. I absolutely adore this die, it tends to be one of my "go-to" dies in so many of my projects.
The lovely pink flowers on top of the arbor were made using the new Cuties Fringe 2. I am in love with these new Cuties dies, they make such a pretty flower and are a great addition to Cuties flower series! To create the vines and greenery, I weaved the Flourish Leaf Strip and the Mini Fanciful Flourish through the arbor frame.
Here's a list of the dies used for this project:
B117S - Mini Fanciful Flourish
B123 - Victorian Picket Fence
B166 - Lace Corner Deco F
B178 - Flourish Leaf Strip
B188 - Embellishment #2
B254 - Mesh Border
B256 - Cutie Fringe 2
B266 - Tiny Things with Wings
DL193 - Horizon Coved Rectangle Mega Doily
E101 - Bricks and Stones
FRM150 - Hawaiian Luau Doily Frame
I hope you can find some time to visit the challenge this week and put in your entry where the theme is Add a Flourish! With your entry you will have a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs!
Have a Cheery Day!
