You Are Awesome Card by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi lovelies,
Summer is nearly at its end and I really don't like that at all....the only good part of Autumn is the pretty layouts, cards and other projects you can make with all the lovely leaf & Halloween dies Cheery Lynn Designs offers. But for today I am still in the Summer time mood.  This time I made my card all about less color.  I used only white, purple & cream/light brown and the "You Are Awesome"die which is my personal favorite....

You Are Awesome:
Purple is my favorite color to scrap so I made a lot of flowers in that color after cutting out all the flowers I wanted to use. This card consists of three layers with the FRM132 - French Lattice Small Frame being one of them.

For the centers of my flowers I use all different kinds of things like pearls, bling, metal, stamen & beads...they give your flowers all a different look. The papers I used here are from the "Vintage Spring Basics"collection by Maja Design.  Oh I know, again that paper manufacturer...I will try and make something with other papers on my next post...

Puppy Birthday Card by Eva Dobilas

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello there, this is Eva today and I have a super CUTE card if I may say so to share with you.  I have two Siberian Husky dogs, Roxy and Zeus.  Roxy is black and white and Zeus has tannish fur color, looks more like a wolf.  I love my dogs more than I can tell, so I thought I would create a cute card with our Funny Dog Die,

To create this card I cut a 5.5" square card base and added a patterned paper on the front.  Next I die cut a Square Stitch and Cut Tool out of water color card stock and added it on my card front.  Next I die cut two Funny Dog dies mirroring each other out of black and one out of kraft card stock. I backed them up with white water color card stock and started to paint them in and adhered them on my card front.  I also painted the background a little bit. Finally I stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment on my card as this would make a super cute birthday card to someone.

Hope you like this happy little card and here are the dies I used to create it with:

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see your creations in our current challenge.

Hugs,
Eva

Boo! by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi friends, it's Jenny here today!  Today I'm sharing another Halloween card.  I just can't get enough of these new Halloween dies.  I began this card by cutting the centers out of black and patterned papers as well as the main 5.5" card front.  I glued a piece of orange paper to the inside front of the card.  I was originally planning on suspending the spiders between the layers for a 3D effect with an open front but my planned changed when I decided to use a greater variety of these fun spiders.

The spiderweb is from the Spider Net set, the three spiders are from the Whimsical Spiders set, and the Boo is from the Ultimate Halloween set.  I double layered Boo! to add a little more orange and it offsets the other spiderweb on the left nicely.

Someone Special by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone, it's JULIE here and today I am sharing a shabby chic style card with you all, which measures approx 8" x 5".

I added Frantage to my layers of paper tattering at the edges and adding some stitching for extra detail.  I accented my doilies between my layers and added my border strip. I just adore the lacey look of Cheery Lynn Dies.

My cute Whimsical Bird I popped a little silicone glue behind his wing and double layered with a coordinating paper. Finishing with black liquid pearl in his eye.

Then onto the fun bit of arranging my flowers on my card. You will notice I have Flowersoft, Pearls and Stamens in the centres of my flowers for added detail.

Happy New Year 2017 by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello It's Debbie back with you today from  Debbie's Time Out . Glad to see you here.

Today I am going for "Clean and Simple" using one of the new dies sets from the last new release. It is the Happy New Year 4 Piece Die Set .

I started with shiny red foil paper for the base then layer white paper on top. I then cut the Fleur De Lis Boutique Stacker A2 Frame  in black velvet paper and layered the Rectangle Stitch and Cut tool   in white.

I cut the Happy New Year 4 Piece Die Set  again in shiny red foil paper so I could layer them onto the black hats to make the hats pop. The star design from the set was layered to the top right corner and another red hat layered to the bottom left corner. The "2017" was cut using the Delicate Lace Script 2 Piece Die Set .
The frame and sentiment in the black velvet paper looks so nice in person and cuts beautifully from the CLD die.

Thanks so much for joining me today and now I would  like to invite you to join our Bi Weekly challenge @http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree . I always enjoy seeing all the beautiful entries.

All That Glitters Card by Chrissy Mac

8:43 AM 2 Comments
Hello wonderful people.  Chrissy Mac here with a custom 5" x 7" card project using gold, more gold and some more gold, playing off of the natural craft paper color.  I had two patterned thick papers that I wanted to work with that started me on the "golden" path.  One with the gold foiled arrows pattern and one with a gold foil diamond pattern.  And thus began my card making journey.

This was the result of that journey.  Because I was using so much of the gold and natural tan, I needed a heavy color for contrast and somehow ended up with black since my base card was white and no other color was working for me, but I think any deep, vibrant or rich color could work too.

In the center of the larger flower from the ever so useful Cheery Lynn Designs Floral Bouquet Kit Die Set (each flower with one black cut and one gold paper cut) I ended up using the smallest star die and curling it star points up that provided a tie in to the larger stars in the center and in black to tie in with the black flower layer.  The stars cut in graduating sizes worked well with the gold theme and provided the perfect area for my "wishing you well" sentiment stamp.  I used the following Cheery Lynn dies:

Card Base:  5" x 7" White pre-embossed card
Layer 1:  Golden Arrow Craft Paper
Stars:  (1) Large Star, (1) Medium Star
Stamp:  Wishing You Well
Foliage:  Floral Bouquet Kit leafy branches and leaves
Flowers:  Each flowers was one cut of larger flower in black and one cut in gold patterned paper with the smallest star of the Cheery Lynn Pierced Star Set in the center

I wish you all could really see the gold shine in person. It really is quite pretty as it plays with whatever light is around giving it different hues depending on where and at what angle you are viewing it at. It is a pretty simple project to make. I am just loving this pierced star set and I think it will come in very handy for many different themes and styles.
Thank you so very much for joining me today for this project using three amazing Cheery Lynn Designs die sets.

Wishing you well...with gold on top!

Happy Halloween with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi everyone! Welcome back! Today Im sharing with you a new card for Cheery Lynn Designs using a new "halloween ghost" die cut. There are actually 2 other ghosts but I kept mine all the same. You can see in the background the "twiggy wreath" and "sentiment" which is perfect for Halloween cards.

The adorable flowers are "sweet christine" and I added a black center. I love the leaves from "flourish #13" and decided to make them black to match the theme.

Have to mention loving this line of patterned papers from Graphic 45 too.  The bling was to represent the wind from the ghosts.
