Live, Dream, Love Card with Corina Finley

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello!

Thank you for joining me today, Corina, for today's post on the Cheery Lynn Blog. I have created a simple vintage card that could be used for a variety of occasions.

I used the A2 Frames Rectangular for the base and top layer. I cut two rectangles from Kraft cardstock. The third layer edge is paper distressed and the second layer was embossed using the Burlap Embossing Plate.

I layered two of the Coved Rectangle die cuts. I cut the largest out of black patterned paper and added detail using the Coved Rectangle Stitch die. I stamped my sentiment on the Coved Rectangle cut one size smaller and heat embossed in black.

For my border along the top, I cut strips of pattern paper, layered them and added the Anastasia Border to the top and bottom. Wrapped twine around it and tied in a bow.

You're Super by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi, it's Jenny here today with another superhero card.  I used some of the same dies and image from my last card, but switched up a few things.  I began by layering design papers with red, white and blue card stock.  I stamped and colored the Kraftin' Kimmie image with copics before cutting it out with the Circle Stitch and Cut die.  The stitching adds such great detail.

I popped up the background from the Action Words die and added letters from the Varsity 3/4" Tall Uppercase Alphabet.  I also adhered the Pennant with foam adhesive for extra dimension. To add the blue to the center of the pennant, I cut the edges off a second pennant.  I really liked the contrast of adding another layer to the pennant.  Last, I added a few adhesive gems to the pennant for sparkle.

Stop Awesome Dude Tag by Amy Voorthuis

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Good morning lovelies.
Today it's my day again on this wonderful blog and this time I'd like to show you something masculine again. Yes, I am sorry but at the moment I love not making flowers but grungy stuff.  Well it's just a phase that I need to go through "I guess" lol!

Stop Awesome Dude!:
For this tag I used the 6x6 "Edge of Town"paper pad by Scrapberry's where I was a guest designer last month. The tag I used is packaging from the Graphic 45 staples collection which I always used when making tags because I love the big eyelet one top.

For the centers of my gears I used a bunch of screw brads that I have in my stash.  It always makes your projects so much more alive if you use metal pieces on them.

Best Wishes by Eva Dobilas

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi there, this is Eva and today I have a pretty doily card to share with you.  I love to add gold elements to my card so that's what you'll see on this.

To create this card I have cut an A2 size card base out of turquoise card stock.  Next I cut down a Heidi Swapp resist paper and sprayed it with Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays. Than I die cut Alpine Flourish Doily out of gold mirror card stock and placed it on the card front.  Next I die cut a Mirror out of cream card stock and stamped my sentiment and the outline on it and added it to my gold doily.

Next I die cut a Small Exotic Butterflies #2 w/Angel Wings, using patterned paper for the intricate cut and watercolor card stock for the wing, which I sprayed with the Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays and glued them together and placed it on the doily to finish up my card.

Hope you like this little card and here is the list of the dies I used to create it with.

Thank you for stopping by and hope to see your cards in our current challenge!

Hugs,
Eva

Mother's Day Easel Card with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi everyone! It's just around the corner from Mother's Day and so I thought I would make a Mother's Day Easel Card using Cheery Lynn Designs dies. It is also this week's challenge too, so check it out. This easel card base was made using the second largest "scalloped circle" It is about 5 inches which is the size I typically like to use, but if you like a bigger card you can use the biggest "scalloped circle" which is around 6 inches around. I then cut the "scalloped circle" the 3rd largest in a lighter purple. It is about the same size as the "Florence Filigree Doily". I die cut the doily out in white twice and saved all the pieces inside for later.

The "sweet williams strip  flowers" were cut twice and all the centers were inked with dark distressing purple. There are different size pearls in the centers. Each flower of the same size was layered on top of each other which will give you 4 flowers sizes per die cut run. The inside pieces of the "florence filigree" were originally white and I just inked both sides in green distressed ink.  The sentiment was from Microsoft Word and printed  in purple on white cardstock. The die cut is the third smallest "pierced stacker #4".  Afterwards, I fussy cut around the die in a dark purple cardstock to enhance it a bit more. Place pop dots under the sentiment because this will be how the card will stand up later.

Here is a closer view of the flowers and "flourish #17" leaves. They were die cut and then placed through the embossing machine to show the leaves lines. The "dandelions" were cut in white and then inked purple on the flower ends.

I added a purple double looped bow on top and you can see it folds flat for mailing or placing in an envelope. Lots of occasions you can use this card for...Birthdays, Thank You, Wedding, Thinking Of You....and of course Mother's Day!

Hope you enjoyed!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to check out this week's challenge Mother's Day for your chance to win $20 at the Cheery Lynn Designs Store.
